that guy on the pregame show just said "they have to start hitting with RISP"

Yes, they're #3 in the majors, .002 from being #2

i found this projected stat amusing and since im bored i will share...DLee is on pace for 104 RBI, but only on pace for 6 HR...this makes me wonder what is the biggest differential between a player's homerun and rbi totals ever?? not lookin for an answer unless you got it...just wondering about it. haha

In 1895, Steve Brodie had 134 RBIs with 2 HRs.

The most recent hitter with 100+ RBIs and 10 HRs or less is Paul Molitor in 1996 (113 RBIs, 10 HRs).

nice

I liked the good old days better when we would have had a W in the books already...that being said...Go Cubs...lets play 1.3 today!

In the good old days, we'd have a loss in the books. since the Cubs took the lead in the inning that the game was called, the game would revert back to the beginning of the inning and the Cubs would have lost 5-2

If Wuertz/Dempster pitch in the first game, would they be available for the second? If not, I say give Rich Hill a little work in the first game (forgive me for not trusting the bullpen with a 1-run lead) and save the others for the second.

Probably wouldn't be hard at all for Dempster/Wuertz to pitch an inning in both games.

It happens in DHs a lot, as long as their innings arent too stressful

Yes but in late game situations they haven't been nearly as good.

I didn't see yesterday's game. Was Lilly that bad?

He wasn't sharp but he wasn't as bad as the line would indicate.

The first inning was built on bunts for hits and Izturis's error. He really wasn't bad.

Not really. The Pirates bunted a billion times and no Cubs could get the runners, Izterrible brought in 2 with a throwing error.

are the pirates the first team in history to wear two different uniforms in the same game?

I thought the game today was on WGN :x

So did I. Well this sucks :x

Isn't it at least on WGN radio?!?!?!? What's going on? I couldn't get it on mlb audio so I tried directly with WGN radio on line - no idea what it is but it definitely isn't baseball!

Radio broadcast doesn't seem to be working either.

If you mean gameday audio, there are two different links. the one for today's game isn't up yet, but the first one takes you to the game going on now.
