I can't say I'm a fan of this rule, but then again, I can't really decide what I would think if the situation was reversed.

 

I generally operate under the assumption that baseball doesn't need any new rules.

From the sounds of things, in the past it would have reverted to the last full inning and the Cubs probably would have lost already. I definitely like the new rule. After the 5th inning, no runs should come off the board.
