Hey Carlos, how bout we see a 7 inning 1 run 1 walk outing? That is what an ace is supposed to do, and I think you can do it. Please

Well let's see...this is a FOX game and the Yankees are playing the Red Sox so I suppose that the game that will be on tomorrow for me will be the Red Sox and Yankees again. I will be greatly surprised if the Cubs are on my TV tomorrow. Hopefully Zambrano turns it around some more and looks like his old self again.

Shame I missed much of what proved to be a terribly exciting game. But watching the Bulls put the dagger into the Heat was worth it. (sort of)

Still got to see Pie's first (of many) ML Homer. I hope we stick with this lineup for a while now.

Let's see, National TV, against the Cardinals, Zambrano on the mound.

Forecast calls for flat, 99mph first inning fastballs.

Thanks to my local FOX affiliate, looks like I'll be watching Yankees-Red Sox, again.

Same here.

I sent the GM of the FOX station a nasty email. There are more Cubs and Cards fans here than there are Yankees or Red Sox.

I doubt I get a response, but I think every time we get a sucky national game, he'll hear from me.

CUBS' hitters during the last 14 games......

Theriot 51 8 19 2 0 0 21 5 0 7 0.373 0.373 0.412 0.784

Am I the only one who is starting to get a little worried about that statistic? There's no doubt he is hitting the ball....but a 373 batting average isn't realistic for the rest of the year, and it would be nice to see someone like Theriot, known in the past for taking pitches/working the count, to take some walks. 2 walks compared to 60 at-bats has led to a nice 317 batting average, but only a 339 OBP, compared to last year where he put up 328/412.

Then again....maybe that's just the pessimistic Cubs fan in me...

So what kind of a load will you be hauling today? Bran flakes? :P

Well.... those Honey Bunches of Oats have to go all the way to California, so I'll be busy with them for a couple of days. Hey... does that mean we sweep the Cardinals ??

Aren't we over due for a Zambrano gem and a Fonz breakout game?

We're overdue for a lot of stuff.

It's Saturday and the weather is beautiful, so once again I'll be skydiving in lieu of listening to the game. It'll dilute the excitement if Cubs win, but if they lose, then three hours of wanting to gouge my eyes out will be compressed into a single string of profanities upon seeing the line score.

Enjoy the game people, and !SBUC OG

His P/PA isn't great either. I guess we'll see how it all levels out with more regular playing time.
