Thanks for not putting in Tyrus for no apparent reason, coach.

Did anyon play in the second half besides the starters and Noc? (Before garbage time.)

No, and everytime we penetrated, 3 guys collapsed. Why not put Tyrus in there to dump it off to to finish?

There needs to be some changes in the offseason. Starting with the head coach.

He won't go anywhere.

Yeah, I know. This is as far as we're going to get with him, I'm now convinced of that. Maybe an ECF appearance, but he is a terrible in-game adjuster.

The Bulls also won't get to the finals without a low-post scoring presence. (That said, I'd love to see Skiles go.)

What a fitting end to the season.

fitting? 49 wins and a sweep of Miami was what to you?

Not the end of the season, unless I'm looking at the schedule wrong.

Missing about 5 shots in one possession and the eventual sweep caps off the series pretty accurately.

I expected to at least make the ECF this year. We can't even win a damn game in the 2nd round?

I didn't.

All told, not a bad season. Skiles should not go. The Bulls should look to add a low post guy. They could be a lot better next year, just due to increased experience and the lottery pick with some cap room. They are better that they have played in the Pistons series.

I was there, too. Sorry guys, I'm just a bad luck charm :(

Way too many Pistons fans tonight for my liking...

Wait, so you saw both the Cubs and Bulls live today and jinxed both?

Despite the one-sidedness of the series I believe the Bulls are close, adding a serious low post threat in the off season should be priority 1 for Paxson. If he's able to successfully do so while retaining one of Deng or Gordon, they'll have a real good chance to advance further in the playoffs.

If they beat NJ I would have.

I think when the season is over, we'll look back and be satisfied over what we accomplished. Look, we ran into a team that is better than us, matches up extremely well on us, and has championship intentions. If it was a more talented team that didnt matchup as well, we'd win at least 2 games. But we ran into a more talented buzzsaw. We need to make changes, but we aren't far off.

Besides, who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and grab a 1-2 pick :)

i think the bulls went about as far as i expected this year. the team still isn't complete and isn't well balanced. While the defense is good, the team relies too much on jump shots and doesn't rebound well sometimes.

And no matter how good Gordon or Deng are, they still lack the "it" guy. There is no LeBron, Kobe or Dirk on this team. I'm not saying you need that kind of guy to win (look at the Pistons) but I think the Bulls lack that guy who can say "okay boys, I'm going to put the team on my back and pull out this victory"

I'd have been thrilled if someone told me the Bulls would play eight playoff games, but I didn't want to see them crash and burn like this. Now we're right back to the "Baby Bulls" stigma.

it's a stigma because the key players are all under 25, as opposed to a team like Detroit, Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio, etc., etc. Most teams (outside of bottom feeders like Atlanta and Charlotte) aren't built the way the bulls are

As heartbreaking and disappointing as last nights loss was, I keep telling myself that the team is young and the future is still bright. Hopefully some ping pong balls fall our way and we get lucky. If not, we'll still get a solid player at 9. I probably won't watch all the game on Sunday (mainly because of Mother's Day) but I hope we win one so that we avoid being swept.

Well then we should have taken care of buisness against the Nets. Boils down to us being the second best team in the East, but having to play the best one a round too early.

We should be set up great for the future. I don't see how this bleeds over in any way.

We just don't quite have what it takes to get there at the moment. But we're loaded with young talent, still developing some players, and we've got another top 10-ish draft pick this year.

There's really not much work to be done to get this team to the top, and Pax appears to have the ammunition to do it. I think '07/'08 could be our year.
