I gotta say I love the new Dwayne Wade / Charles Barkley commercial.

 

Wade: "Now that was impressive....you fitting into those tight white shorts. Sexayyyy."

 

Wade has all of the time in the world now to make some more commercials :)

Ya and he still took a little shot at the Bulls in his postgame interview. When asked about what happened he says " They just flat out beat us plain and simple. Im not going to sit here and say we shoulda won this or that like they did last year." Why even throw that in there Wade? Who cares have fun watching the Bulls from your house. I really really hate the Heat.

Warning...I'm gonna get way ahead of myself here....

 

I'm watching the Dallas/Golden state game, and I think the Bulls could beat Dallas in a 7 game series.

the bulls have a ton of weapons, that's for sure. i think any team they play is going to have trouble matching up with them if they continue to play free and loose like they did against the heat.

I wonder if Tyrus is gonna get about the same amount of minutes in the Pistons series. He did look completely lost out there in the limited minute he did get against the Heat.

Well he looked very good in his last couple against Detroit this year so hopefully he gets a good amount of minutes and plays well. I'm kinda surprised he didn't play better against the Heat. I don't think he got enough minutes to get comfortable so that could be why. What's the breakdown in minutes he got in each of the games?

I decided to check myself.

 

Game 1-10 minutes

Game 2-7 minutes

Game 3-3 minutes

Game 4-1 minute

 

Well hopefully he can give us at least 10-15 strong minutes per game in the Detroit series. We'll need him.

Not saying they will, but they can definitely win it all this year. The first time I've felt that way since MJ. Definitely didn't feel that way the last 2 years.

 

The East can definitely win it all. I don't care if it's the Suns, Dallas or San Antonio. The Bulls have the defense to play with any of them.

As somebody who is indifferent about both the Bulls and the Pistons, I'm looking forward to this series. Should be very good.

 

Oh and thank you to the Bulls for not just taking out the Heat, but in the fashion they did. Miami didn't deserve to win the title last year and I'm glad they're gone.

One thing that really stood out today was why Malik Allen played so many meaningful minutes. There was one stretch in the game today where the Heat just attacked him at will and got very easy buckets out of it. Skiles needs to get Tyrus some action against Detroit. The Pistons' bigs will abuse Allen all day long if he's out there for anything more than garbage time.

Game 1 will be on Saturday (TNT) and game 2 will be on Monday night. No times accounced.

 

This likely means game 4 will be over the weekend, which is great for me.

Same here, as that will be my first Bulls playoff game, and I get back from school probably that Friday.

LOL, the league is so weird with the awards and all-star invites. How can you have a team that is as good as the Bulls on D and nobody's 1st team all-defense?

 

They've already got major egg on their face for not giving Deng or Gordon the all-star invite. Now this? Pathetic.

They could all be "pretty good" vs a team with an all-defensive 1st team selection that has awful defenders save that one individual (like the Lakers?). You could have a great defensive team with no standouts is what I'm saying. Kind of like how the Patriots (a pretty good defensive team) had just one defensive player (a reserve) in the pro bowl.

 

I'm not saying I agree wtih it, but such a scenario could still make sense.

The NBA playoffs are still going on?

 

Occasionally. Each game is kinda like Haley's comet. You have to be patient and be there at just the right moment to see it, or it disappears and you have to wait a lifetime for the next one.

Luol Deng wins the NBA sportsmanship award. No doubt he deserves it.

Agreed. I love Loul Deng because he's alot more than just an emerging star in the NBA.
