I was looking at yesterday's box score in Cincinnati's 3-1 loss against the Astros and I noticed that Adam Dunn was batting sixth. SIXTH. What the hell is Dunn doing batting sixth? Am I missing something here? Not to mention that they batted Josh Hamilton seventh. So to recap, they have their top two OPS guys (if you want to go with a stat major league managers would actually understand, their top two HR guys) batting sixth and seventh. Good job Cincinnati. Really smart.

Anyone up for batting Lee and Ramirez sixth and seventh?

Once they get ARod and Cabrera, sure.

Dude, the last thing we need is more right handed batters.

I'd just go

Lee

Cabrera

ARod

Ramirez

junk

junk

junk

junk

I'd still lead the league in runs.

Adam Dunn is on pace for 43 homers and 27 steals.

C'mon Narron, TURN HIM LOOSE ON THE BASEPATHS!

if this happens i'm going to personally buy him a huge diamond 40/30 necklace that i hope he'd wear all the time

Strike outs, schmike outs. They've personally cost Jack Cust like 6 years in the major leagues.

Believe me, I'm not trying to say it's a bad thing and that it makes him less of a player. I just enjoy the strikeout and when a player challenges the season record for some reason.

hes an FA too? a 40/30 season might be the only way Jim notices him.

and probably drive up his price quite a bit

imagine if he gets labeled as a good defender, then you could be talking some real bucks

Just tell Jim that Dunn has 'tools' and he'll offer him a 10-year contract.

per Rotoworld:

Adam Dunn to SD?

According to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, the Padres are eyeing Adam Dunn as they seek to add another power bat.

The article mentions Clay Hensley as one option to go to Cincinnati in a potential deal. The Padres would be reluctant to move the right-hander, even if he's out of the rotation right now, but they'd probably have to in order to have any chance of getting a deal done. Scott Linebrink isn't going to be attractive if the Reds decide to give up on the season, and most of the Padres' prospects are low-upside guys. There's been no indication yet that the Padres and Reds have discussed Dunn this year.

If Im Dunn there is noway I want to go to SD. For one, his HR numbers will drop there, and 2, that OF is pretty big and he could make a fool of himself out there in such a large OF.
