F) None of the Above

Organic milk is best, because it stays good for more than twice as long. I'm more likely to get through the whole carton than to realize realize it's gone bad and has now set up camp in the back corner of the fridge.

We buy 1% as a compromise. I grew up on Skim, my wife on 2%. I think 2% is too "sweet", especially on cereal. Skim always tastes colder and more refreshing to me.

My wife is now purchasing organic milk, usually the skim milk variety. She said something about hormones given to cows or something like that.

I prefer the flavored milk they give out here in the cafeteria. We have chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. They're all 2% and are pretty yummy.

I prefer chocolate milk, but for my cereal, I like 2 percent.

I see some of you drink 1 percent. Is that because you think you're fat?

...cause you're not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to.

Organic is still going to come as skim / 1% / 2% / whole.

I guess I'm one of the few that prefers whole milk. It may not be 'as good for you', but as far as taste goes, give me the fat.

BTW, did I ever say that I love bacon, butter and that I don't trim the fat of my steaks?

Yea, thought about that after posting. I'm with Derwood, it's a more refreshing drink as skim. Also, I'm sure I'm not regurgitating this info correctly, but there's something about the homogenization (sp) of milk that is supposed to have some lesser known and adverse health effects. Since skim milk is fat-free, there's nothing to homogenize. That, as opposed to the absense of the fat itself, is supposedly what makes it healthier.

But it tastes better too.

Milk is for cows. Yuck.

I pity your skeleton.

actually there are much better sources of calcium than milk including broccolli and other green vegatable. they also are free of growth hormones unlike cows milk.

Unless you buy organic milk. That's all I give my daughter, since I don't want her "developing" at 9 years old like a lot of kids do because of all the hormones in milk and cheese these days.

But yeah, veggies like broccoli have a lot of calcium, but who really eats enough of them? I love broccoli, but I don't know too many others that do.

Thanks for brightening my day with a NapDyn reference. Thought everyone had forgotten about that gem after Heder's recent debacles.

I wish they had a 5%. I'd drink that.

Wikipedia says your wish is granted. Much higher than that and you're putting half & half or cream on your cereal.

Also, just to poke a sharp stick into everyone's taste for delectable moo juice, I recently read that all milk apparently contains more-than-just-a-trace amount of pus.

Personally, I like 2% chocolate pus the best.

I drink 1% when I'm at home, and 2% at school because I have never seen 1% in Missouri (at least not at the market right next to me dorm, or in the dining halls)

EDIT: I also have no idea why I drink 1%. I think it was because my doctor told my sister and I we should drink skim milk, so we went from 2% to 1% on the transition, and never got to the skim. Oh well, I hate skim milk.
