Whew, one hell of a game at the Arena tonight. SIU won 56-54 as UNI missed a 3 and then the tip-in from the miss was a split second after the buzzer to end the game. We're now 16-5 overall, and 7-3 in the Valley. More importantly, we're in sole possesion of 1st in the Valley.

The atmosphere was amazing tonight. Probably the best college game I've been to in quite some time.

I said in my last post that I worried about this game at Illinois. In Bloomington, I think IU would have had enough to come away with the W. But on the road, a very hostile environment, and after an emotional road game in Connecticut in which the starters played a ton of minutes....this was obviously the let down game. I would have rather them scrapped the UConn game and beat Illinois in conference. But whatever.

Tough part of the schedule continues. Michigan and Wisconsin at home. Then to Iowa before hosting U of I. 3-1 would be a great accomplishment. 2-2 is probably more likely.

Congrats to the Illini on the win last night. Their season might have been on the line and they played hard, while IU looked really flat. The Illini did a great job shutting down the entry passes to DJ White, and IU's shooters were just freaking terrible last night. I was hoping for a more inspired effort from Kelvin's boys.

Being at the game I was both really impressed and somewhat let down by the Illini crowd. I was impressed by how respectful everyone seemed to be. I stood and cheered for my Hoosiers the whole game, and they supported there team and there was never a bad word said either way to any of the Hoosier fans, other than the ones next to the Krush. I was let down because it was not nearly as loud in that building as I was expecting. Other than a few brief moments it was even hard to tell anyone other than the Krush was even there.

IU needs to put it back together and run off some very tough wins the next 4 games. Michigan at home is next (Saturday), then the Badgers at home, then at Iowa, and then I believe the Illini come to Bloomington. The Hoosiers will need to sweep those games to have a decent shot at a share of the Big Ten Title.

wiscky needs to lose a game befoe anyone else can even think about winning the conference. Hell even OSU has only one loss.

Pretty much every team goes through that funky 7 to 10 day stretch when they struggle. The key of course is to take advantage of that timeframe!

Not when they are way better than the rest of the league. We didn't two years ago and I doubt Wiscy does this year.

They've already squeaked by a couple of their conference opponents. If they keep letting their conference opponents get them down to the last 5 minutes with a tie game, eventually they are going to lose a couple of games.

Yeah a couple of games, maybe. I guess you don't plan on losing again the rest of the year. Or maybe they got through their bad games with wins. They already won at Illinois. They got two real potential losses left, @OSU and @IU. That said they will probably split those and might drop one to another team, but there is no way you guys run the table. It is between Wiscy and OSU.

And Northwestern blows another one down the stretch. Nothing but bad turnovers and allowing offensive rebounds.

Cards lose a tight one, 60-54 to Kent State. I'm in the "moral victories" stage with this team. Skip Mills and Micah Rollin each had 14.

UCLA beats Cal 62-46 thanks in part to 25 points (20 in the second half) from Arron Afflalo.

Up next: Stanford at Maples. UCLA will have their hands full with the Lopez' twins.

Oregon losing to U-Dub in the first half, USC losing to Stanford big at halftime, WSU up late at home against Oregon State.

Unreal how badly Clemson got screwed out of that game against Duke. At what point does someone within the NCAA look into this? Hell why doesn't Congress? People bet on these games that are obviously fixed all the time.

Hey they looked into the steroid thing. Duke wins at least two games a year because of terrible clock keeping, how does this happen we have replay to make sure this crap doesn't happen. By the way best avatar ever.
