And then Hubert tries to say Illinois doesn't deserve to be in since they went 9-7 in the Big East. My head hurts.

i noticed this as well...what a jagbag

You have never misspoke before?

Be a little more critical why don't ya?

He also called Shaun Pruitt, Shane earlier this year. It is kind of his job to know that stuff. Not just be the Carolina to Bilas' Duke.

Seriously, the East is ridiculous. I think they have 4 of the top 10 teams in the country right now.

I get Carolina, Georgetown, and Texas, but who is the 4th? No way is Washinton State one of the top 10 teams.

I had them #7 when we were ranking the tourney teams.

sure i have...but speaking on national television isn't my job.

also, i'll be as critical as i want to be...who are you? his brother?

So because he's on national television he's not allowed to make any mistakes? That makes sense.

of course he's allowed to make mistakes, and we're allowed to call him a rectal plunger for them

criticizing people for being critical is, in itself, critical, right? so you should be less critical of people exercising their God-given right to call hubert davis a douche, because that's what he is.

Criticizing him because you disagree with his opinion is one thing and is fine. Criticizing him because he made one little mistake on live television on the other hand, is quite lame.

Really I wouldnt put them ahead of Carolina, UCLA, Florida, Kansas, Georgetown, Texas or aTm, Oregon, Ohio State, Wisconsin, or Memphis.

I am really not all that impressed with Georgetown. Granted I haven't watched them a lot this year, but the couple games I saw I thought they were good, but not top ten type good. Granted I saw them against the Cuse and Duke.

I've seen them play a lot, and that's why I am picking them to win it all. It's a stretch, but they are quite good.

They could be that good, it is likely I just caught two of their bad performances. If Self wasn't Kansas' head coach I would pick them. I just think he will find a way to mess it up.

I quickly went through a bracket in the yahoo pool(I hate you, biology exam) and had them losing in the National Championship. When I get the chance I'm going to have to look at their guardplay though.

Yeah, I have Georgetown beating KU for the title. I didn't want to put KU in, but the way my brackets shaped up, they had to be put there. It's so wide open this year, you'll probably see about 10 different teams get significant picks to win it all.

I think Florida wins it all, I also like Ohio State, and Texas. Although Texas can't win it. If you aren't smart enough to foul up 3 with 11.8 seconds to go and instead choose to play zone, you will get out-coached along the way.

I am torn between picking Florida to win it all or UNC the two nsb brackets I joined I picked florida in one and UNC in the other. I think there the 2 best teams although I am always wrong so will see lol.

You are very wrong. G'town is one of the more underrated defensive teams in the NCAA. They brought everyone back from the team that took Florida to the wire last year (I believe they lost by 1 or lost in OT). Jeff Green is one of the top 5 players in the country. Hibbard is a game-changer when he can stay on the court.

let me say that i love the illini's draw and think that a sweet sixteen run is not out of the realm of possibilities.

Let me say that I think the Illini are going to lose in the first round.

co-sign.

Given all that has happened on that team this year, I consider just making the tourney to be an accomplishment.

I dont think it is impossible for the Illini to win. If the Hokie team that showed up in their 2 games with UNC the Illini will have no chance. However outside of those 2 wins VT hasnt been all that impressive in alot of their games.

i think it's more than a winnable game for them. with the defense that the illini play, VT is not unbeatable. however, with the offense that they play, it's not super-likely that they'll make it out of the first round.

man, this is a tough year to fill out a bracket. i usually do pretty well with these, but this year is really hard. my elite 8 could be all upset teams. my elite 8 so far: oregon, kansas, pitt, texas, georgetown, texas a&m. now i'm debating whether i think maryland can pull off the upset and beat florida, and if tennessee can come out of nowhere to shock ohio state. i'll probably lose every pool i'm in, but trying to pick the upsets is what makes it fun.

Absolutely we can. We went there and barely lost by 3 (though we exchanged leads with them multiple times).

Not that I expect us to get past OSU, but I think it's entirely possible on a neutral court.

Overall, I really like UT's bracket. We should take Long Beach St. and then either Albany or Virginia. Then it gets tough, though, with OSU and then (IF we get past the Buckeyes) Mem/TAMU in the Elite Eight.

I think we've got a great shot for a Sweet 16 appearance at least and more if our guards play well.

I'm not sure anyone would be wise to argue that the ACC got somehow screwed with this bracket.

Only a dynamic duo of Vitale and Packer. If anything, I think the ACC was well-seeded in this tournament. Everyone except Duke is slotted accordingly. Duke is an 8 seed, playing as a 6 because they are Duke. They finished 4-6, went 8-8 in conference, and were 8-7 against the Top 50. They are a gift at 6 because of who they beat in the first month.

Georgia Tech/UNLV in their first matchup since the Final Four in 1990. Tark and Cremins are watching from afar. I thought UNLV deserved a 5.

The Illini are so poor offensively its hard to pencil them in for a win even against another 12 seed. They...just...can't score well enough.

Its very painful watching this team while I rooted for the powerhouse, juggernaut that was the 2005 Illini.

ya its hard to watch Ill after seeing how good they were 2 years ago. But with how well they play D if someone like Mcbride or Frazier or anyone catches on fire they could win a game or 2.

I just got home from work. KU got jobbed. How are we the 4th 1 seed? How is Fla the overall 1? The West bracket? we got hosed.

I agree that Fla shouldnt have been the overall 1, but where do you think kansas should be? They didnt deserve the Midwest bracket over Ohio State, so I would think that after the Midwest the West would be the best for Kansas.

No way your right where you should be you better thank Cal for beating UCLA or you would have been a #2 seed for sure.
