I am really surprised that Arkansas and Stanford got in. There resumes are worse than a lot of teams left out. I think Drexler should have definetly got in with maybe kansas state or syracuse getting the other spot. I also was not to happy that there is a potential match up between Southern Illinois and Illinois. Ill is my favorite team but come tournament time I like to cheer for all Illinois teams and having the only 2 Ill teams potentially face each other in the 2nd round kinda sucks. I do like that we face Virgina Tech in the first round though I think we should be able to win that pretty easy and Southern should be able to beat Holy Cross pretty easy too.

 

SIU and Illinois are my two favorite teams. I'd just like for them to play each other though because a matchup between the two has been overdue.

 

Probably won't happen either. BW doesn't have the balls to schedule them.

Raisin-I gave your team high respect. As soon as UCLA came up with the 2 seed, I told my wife that I was really hoping that IU would not be the 7 or 10 in that region-unfortunately like usual, some of my worst bracket wishes come true. Hopefully they'll get to match up on Saturday if they can get past their first round games-that would be an interesting game, apparently if IU's 3's were falling that day.

man, this is a tough year to fill out a bracket. i usually do pretty well with these, but this year is really hard. my elite 8 could be all upset teams. my elite 8 so far: oregon, kansas, pitt, texas, georgetown, texas a&m. now i'm debating whether i think maryland can pull off the upset and beat florida, and if tennessee can come out of nowhere to shock ohio state. i'll probably lose every pool i'm in, but trying to pick the upsets is what makes it fun.

its the typical 5/12 match up and teams that aren't normally there like VT are usually the ones that get bounced earlier not always obviously but its a good pick anyways. "Easiely" might not have been the right word as they don't blow out any teams but they usually keep it close anyways. And to respond to the insult of my name I made it back when a lot of people picked prior to win the cy young and havent changed it in years because whats the point really.

I find this amusing b/c: a) it is incorrect, IMO; and 2) most of you are from the Midwest, and thus are also being "homers". I wouldn't have a problem with this other than the fact some of you are casting stones.

 

Examples of respect for Midwest teams:

 

1) Butler getting a 5 in spite of getting absoluetly wiped out by WI-GB;

A lot of the press are ACC homers expecially Duke Vitale but I cant really complain to much about the seating they were fair and basically how I saw it happening for the most part minus one or 2 teams.
