Duke down 4 with 3:00 minutes left in the game. I hope NC State can hold on to this one.

Yep, same here.

And Louisville is now down by 3 to WVU. A WVU win over Louisville would be huge for SIU's chances at a 3 seed.

And Saint Louis beat UMass to advance to the A10 semis. I'm hoping they win the A10 just so that would be another quality win for SIU this year.

Well, good to hear.

I'd much prefer being a 2-seed in Sarcamento than a 1-seed out East.

We're limping in ourselves...

Well, remember two things-the pod system makes sure that UCLA will be out West for the first two rounds no matter what region they are in. Second, if UCLA does get a 1, they are the only possible 1 seed that would fit best in the West, so they are not going to send UCLA to be a 1 in the East and then send an Eastern team to the West to play.

What an end to regulation in the WVU-Louisville game. WVU got a path to an easy lay-in with 4 seconds left. Then Louisville drove the ball the length of the floor and WVU's defense just stood there and let the guy lay it in.

And clockgate continues. This time, the clock in the WVU-Louisville game didn't start until the Louisville player was already a third of the way down the court. If the clock started on time, that layup probably would not have counted and WVU would've won.

The traveling rules need to change if a guy can pick up his dribble like the Louisville player did a couple feet behind the free throw line and carry the ball all the way for a layup.

digger phelps is on the winthrop bandwagon

i disagree about good guard play being the key to a deep run in the tourney... gimme a team with a reliable inside game and/or a dominant big guy over a team with great guards anyday.

2006: Joakim Noah, Al Horford

2005: Sean May

2004: Emeka Okafor

2003: Hakim Warrick

2002: Lonnie Baxter, Chris Wilcox

Guards are nice, but at some point a perimeter team is gonna run into a good perimeter defense, or just have an off game.

2006: Taurean Green, Lee Humphrey

2005: Raymond Felton, Rashad McCants

2004: Ben Gordon

2003: Gerry McNamera

2002: Juan Dixon, Steve Blake

2001: Jason Williams, Chris Duhon

A center is going to be ineffective if he doesn't have guards that can get him the ball.

Damn, WVU's loss may mean that the Big East only gets 7 teams in the tourney.

Well, on a good note, it should keep Missouri State right on the edge of making it.
