Hey, if you would have read my post from yesterday, you would've seen Chris Harris injured his quad. Just goes to show you that everyone needs to read my posts more carefully.

25 per day... that's a tall order.

It's closer to 5-10 nowadays. Nothing like Raisin's 100+.

Just filter the crap out and read the rest...oh wait, then you wouldn't need to read a single post of his.

Ahh, the life of a backup QB in the NFL. I could do that gig for a couple years. Hold a clipboard, rake in a few hundred grand per year.....

Here's a question for you all.

Let's assume the Bears are going 15-1 during the regular season. Do you want that loss to be against a legit team like the Patriots? Or would you prefer the old trap-game loss to a team like the Cardinals or the 49ers?

Old Trap-Game as that is likely to light a fire under them and motivate them to kill anyone else.

I think that's where I come down too. It's close though. You feel better in the moment if you lost to a good team. But losing to a good team puts that doubt in your mind-----maybe the Seahawks wasn't all it appeared.....maybe we'll have trouble in the playoffs against the good teams, etc.

If you beat the Giants and Pats on the road, then I think everyone probably writes off a trap-game loss to, say, the Dolphins. I don't want to lose to a divisional opponent though, even if we are playing mostly 2nd teamers by that time.

If those final games are meaningless, I'm hoping Lovie at least plays the starters for a little while. I'll take the injury risk this time around---I think we need to stay in rhythm heading into the playoffs.

Bears signed Bennie Joppru TE to practice squad. Joppru was a 2nd round pick for the Texans and has been hurt all 3 years. I liked him as a player for the Wolverines. He's got good skills.

I'm calling 2 sacks for Tommie Harris, 2 for Alex Brown, 1 for Mark Anderson, 1 for Tank Johnson, and 1 for Israel Idonije (just for ish and giggles). Oh yeah, 38-10 Da Bears.

You still post here?

The great thing is, we can save that for the next time the Cubs are really good and the Cardinals suck. I hope we still have message boards and laptops in 2114

ChicagoBears.com[/url]"]Having a ball: Defensive tackle Tommie Harris took handoffs and showed off his open-field moves after practice Thursday in the Walter Payton Center, but the Bears have no plans to employ the 6-3, 295-pounder as a ballcarrier.

“Tommie has a lot of different talents with what he can do,” Smith said. “You could say that he’s a skill athlete. He would definitely say that. But he won’t be doing any of that, I can tell you that.”

Health update: All five Bears players on the injury report for Monday night's game did not practice Thursday. Safety Chris Harris (quad) is out; defensive end Adewale Ogunleye (hamstring), receiver Mark Bradley (ankle) and linebacker Leon Joe (hamstring) are questionable; and tight end Desmond Clark (foot) is probable.

Clark is off the injury report and will start, but Ogunleye, Bradley, and Joe did not practice and are all questionable.

Ogunleye should sit...it will give him plenty of recovery time with the bye. And there's no way that the Cardinals should give us so much trouble that we we miss Adewale.

Crap. If Ogunleye doesn't play that means the Bears have to play Anderson and his 5.5 sacks, which are only 1/2 a sack away from best in the league.

Honestly, though. I would like it if one of the 3 injureds were able to play. I hope Wale can go for about 15 plays.

Unless the coaching staff will change their plans this week, Idonije played for Wale against Buffalo.

Yeah, you're right. I'm really excited about Anderson though. And now I just saw that he is featured in the top story on Yahoo's football page, about draft steals.

As much as we talked about the Bears draft being too defensive oriented, they really did an amazing job so far. I would be happy with every draft from here to eternity if the Bears got a starter (Manning), key contributor (Anderson), and a special teams standout (Hester) in every draft.

if I'm not mistaken, there was a rotation between the two last week, Anderson in passing downs, Idonije in running situations. Anderson's sack total is truly amazing considering he's played about 1/5 of the defensive snaps.
