The Italians play dirty.

That has been their MO for decades, no matter how much intrinsic quality the squadra has.

 North Korea qualified for the 2010 World Cup tournament today.

Saudis have to be kicking themselves for that one. All they needed was a home victory against them.

Of course, Saudi Arabia is likely to win the playoff anyway against New Zealand.

As someone who doesnt follow soccer and only watches the world cup/when the US men's team is on, I just want to reiterate how beautiful that pirlo play down the sideline was on rossi's second goal.

Pirlo is one of the best in the world. Just smooth on the ball with great vision.

I'm going on record and saying that if we draw Brasil tomorrow, I'll be hard for a week. Facing 6 of the best attacking players in the world, though...I guess I won't be shocked if we give up another three or four.

4-2 or 3-1 if we lose (Brasil's defense is super vulnerable), 1-1, maybe 0-0 if we can swing something here.

Who starts for Clark? Sacha? Adu? Torres? Does Clint sit (i hope he gets subbed out if we're losing in the 2nd half by more than one because he's clearly gassed)? Davies up front with Jozy and LD on the wing?

ten minutes in and hasn't looked too promising so far. a pretty weak foul call set-up the braziliian goal but the us has been on their heals so far.

Whats with the new facination of giving up a goal in the 1st 10 minutes?

Welp. I'm done watching. DeMarcus Beasley is a worthless piece of crap. We know that, why doesn't the head coach of our National Team? Making mental mistakes like that at this stage? That was like Milton Bradley throwing the second out into the stands in a must-win playoff game.

The first goal wasn't a foul and thus shouldn't have existed, but [expletive] that was a flawless set piece.

Is Claudio Reyna coaching yet? Does it matter? Can we hire him anyway?

is there any chance bradley gets canned? if we go 0 for 3 in the confed cup, does that force a change? or is the world cup qualifying what really matters to ussoccer?

I actually hope that we do go 0-3.

I think I am just going to learn Dutch and follow only them.

I watched that play several times. It makes you appreciate how good some of the world's best players are. They literally can make the ball do what they please with their feet. It also makes you realize how far the US still needs to go.

This will be awesome if Egypt can hold on here.
