He is so bad that three out of four atbats he can't get the ball out of the infield, you now know why the marliins were so ready to get rid of him. Time to bring up Pie to learn in the bigs, Pierre has stopped learning

uhhh, the marlins were eager to get rid of him because he cost them money.

Seems more logical. Or were they just as eager to get rid of LoDuca, Delgado, Castillo, Beckett, etc... because they weren't any good either. :D

His declining numbers certainly didnt help him remain in S. Florida though

i doubt that had any bearing. he still has the brand of being a "legit" lead-off hitter, which is why he's still in the cubs lineup.

In order to get a pick for him,we have to offer him arbitration,do you want to do that,he probably would take it.

There is no chance Pierre would accept arbitration. There is still a team stupid enough to give him a multiyear deal out there.

Not with the numbers he's putting up this season. At least it would be far too big a gamble. But I would love to get a couple of draft picks for Nolasco and Pinto.

Have you seen that there are still guys like Bowden and Colletti running teams in this league?

SB is the only number that matters, and Pierre will finish with about 50. Some dumbass will be happy to pay thru the nose for that "production". Could be Jim Hendry.

Can pierre play the IF? That's the only way Coletti gets him.

Colletti has the Dodgers a game out of first place. He might have overspent on Furcal but I give him credit on the signing of Lofton, Muelluer, Nomar, and the trade for Baez.

Hendry is far from being the only stupid GM out there. It's not like Neifi Perez magically didn't exist until the Cubs inexplicably fell in love with him. I swear they just pull up at the bus depot sometimes and sign whoever they lure into the car with a sandwich.

Of course I have, hence the word "stupid". If the Cubs can sign Neifi and Rusch for two yrs and 12M combined, anything is possible.

you have a modest point. It's just that i don't believe anyone's as dumb as we are.

Playing neifi gets stupider as the years pass. But your point stands.

Yeah and the GM's name is Jim Hendry. He fits the mold for what Jim and Dusty crave.
