Nice to finally get a break.....but what the heck was Hairston swinging at after Olson threw 3 walks in the inning? I know he plays the same position as Neifi but does he have to hit like him as well?

I think Hairston's at bat was the single worst plat appearance in major league history that resulted in two runs scoring.

 

Why was he swinging at the first pitch after teh guy walked teh bases loaded? Why was he trying to hit a homer?
