They took Glendon out two hitters too late.

When Rusch loses the zone he doesn't get it get back.

He really has no business starting. At best he is a 6 inning pitcher. Each time he starts three pitchers are used up. And that is on a good day.

might want to reconsider the strategy of walking so taguchi, john rodriguez, and hector luna to get to the best hitter in baseball.

sent him to the pen where he belongs, please.

Ahhhh....strategy.

Hey Dusty...see what walks do when you take them?

Eckstein walked?

Now but the two guys before him did.

without Eckstein's single that run doesn't score

Without either of the walks, the run doesn't score. They contributed just as much, if not more, to that run than the single.

What's your point? Without the walks. No one's on base.

wrong, Eckstein's on base

I'll take Lee in a heartbeat.........healthy of course.

Pujols is a great player without a doubt but what does annoy me is that way everyone kisses his butt all the time I mean the guy does make outs, he's not freaking Superman for crying out loud.

That's a Cubs fan talking.

Pujols is a once in a generation type of player. If he doesn't have a catastrophic injury, by the time he is done he will be mentioned among the greatest hitters to ever play.

He hasn't even reached his prime yet.

I don't know if Pujols has reached his prime or not, and Lee undeniably had a better year last year, but PECOTA projects that Pujols will be worth 2.5 wins more than Lee this year and 15 more wins than Lee over the next five years.

Straight up, I'd trade Lee for Pujols in a heartbeat.

Overall, Rusch pitched a decent game. Getting 2-3 runners on per inning and only scoring 1 thus far is what's holding us back.

Oh I'm sorry. Those two walks before Eckstein were great.

4 2/3 ip and leaving em loaded for pujols is not a good outing, i don't care how many runs he gave up. the pen needed a rest after last night, and rusch didn't give it to them.
