Ron Santo has officially hit his most unlistenable.

Ron: Oh God, Oh geeze, oh no, oh oh oh.

Thanks for the information. Please go somewhere that isn't the broadcast booth. Thank you for all of your contributions and being a great fan, but you SUCK as a broadcaster.

I don't mean to come off a little harsh, but if you can't stand him, then either switch off the radio or switch over to a different network.

Lee and Eyre are hurt?

yep, both have left the game.

can this team EVER stay healthy? Right when it seems like we are going to get someone back, someone else gets hurt. Right before Wood is supposed to go on his rehab stint, our best player gets hurt as well as one of our key offseason additions in the pen. This is ridiculous to say the least.

not saying our guys are injury prone, but we definitely have some awful luck. That play proved it.

What's Ron supposed to say in that situation?

The next time we play the Dodgers, the first pitch had better be directly at Furcal's head. Hopefully Z will do it.

Why bother waiting? Have him drilled by a pickoff throw.

Yeah, I was listening and Ron's worrysome voice was the only thing that really indicated how serious it was.

Well if Lee is out for any extended lenght of time the season is realistically over. THe offense just doesn't have the depth to absorb that kind of hit.

And Furcal didn't do a thing wrong. He was running hard to beat out the bunt and Lee was standing right on the bag. If anything Lee was in the wrong place.

Eerily similar to the collision that knocked Rolen out for the season last year....except the other way around.

He was moving his wrist around, opening and closing his fist...so it didn't appear to be broken. Probably just a sprain.
