When did Orel become a Joe Morgan clone in the announcing booth? :(

Another 3 hits and a dinger. The HR came in 2nd after the O's were ahead by a run. The shame of it.

And a walk.

How dare Corey try when his team is already winning?

He didn't walk. Only has 1 walk on the season, apparently

If I hear one more announcer try to say that a home run is a bad thing, I will choke myself to death.

i'm just glad people continue to rag on patterson when he's doing well for another team.

he could save 40 babies from a burning building and people would complain that the fire wasn't even that bad by the time he'd saved #34.

Look at his face when he's saving those babies! He doesn't care!

His average is up to .275 now, but as someone else mentioned, he only has the one walk and isn't getting a whole lot of extra base hits or anything.

At least Corey has a cannon for an arm and the "potential" to have a hell of a year...

2 hr and 1 double in 40 ab, works out to 240 bases in 600 ABs. He's actually slugging decently because of the high percentage of HR (.450)

Anyway, he still needs some improvement to be worthwhile

his playing time has been pretty sporadic until recently. for a while there he was just pinch running and coming in for defense. in his last six starts, he's had four multi-hit games...10-25, 2 hr, 6 rbi, 7 runs, 3 sb, 4 k's.

And he wants to be a GM? Yikes.

I haven't read anything or seen anything about him, but I was wondering how he is doing

I love the fact that later in this thread Big Z 38 is able to find out stats of other players but for some strange reason couldn't find out how Corey Patterson was doing.*

Nothing good is going to come out of this thread. Do the right thing - ignore this thread and let it die. **

* If for some inexplicable reason you didn't have access to espn.com, cnnsi.com, yahoo.com, sportsline.com, mlb.com I sincerely apologize.

** Yes, I realize the irony of this.

alright. corey patterson's OPS in 2004 was a full .100 points higher than juan pierre's OPS in 2005. juan pierre's OBP was 2 points higher.

2006 corey patterson is making 2006 juan pierre look like 2005 corey patterson. or maybe it's 2006 juan pierre that's making himself look like 2005 corey patterson...

Oh, I was looking at the wrong day's box score. My bad.

SLG at an even .500 in the middle of today's game.
