In the last game, the Cubs got spanked.

Time to spank back.

In other news, Glen"done" Rusch was seen sweeping the stands after his last, embarrasing outing. He looks to rest his neck after all the neck snapping homers he gave up.

Greg Maddux vows to show Rusch how to be a pitcher and not a belly-itcher.

LET'S

GO

The bad news is that the wind is supposed to be blowing out to right at close to 20 mph. The rain, if there is any, should mostly be gone by gametime, though.

Should Hairston still start?

I'll pull a Fred here:

The Cubs are 4-0 in games not started by Glendon Rusch

I'll go a step further:

It's been more than six months since the last time the Cubs lost a game in which the pitching matchup has not been G. Rusch vs. B. Arroyo.

But with the wind blowing out it may get ugly again...

Dusty, if you start Hairston over Walker, you are an [expletive] moron. I don't care about lefty/righty crap. Walker has fared a bajillion times better against Claussen than Hairston has.

They have a combined 14 at bats against Claussen, making a decision based on that is silly. You might make the case that Walker(recently) and Hairston don't have defined platoon splits, but Hairston hasn't started a game all year and now is a pretty decent chance to give him a look to make sure his bat stays sharp.

Hope we have Jones or at least ARam in the lineup. Guys on the Score were talking about it earlier. They said Jones is speculated to miss a couple of games with that Hammy, while ARam they said who knows. They'd expect him to play tomorrow, but with him you never know.

Wait... what? What happened to Ramirez??

Hairston will start tomorrow, I'd pretty much gurantee it. He hasn't had a start all year yet and we are finally facing a lefty. Odds are that he'll get the start.

He strained his 'rear end' swinging at a pitch late in the game.

Pagan will start in right tomorrow, according to the Trib, and Neifi at third if Ramirez can't go.

I'd prefer Mabry to start at third.

Ditto.

Not gonna happen with a lefty on the mound.

Mabry's splits against lefties, although limited, are actually pretty close to his splits against righties, though.
