  1. Get rid of the pinstripes.
  2. If it is true that Hendry is coming back, I'd rather see a trade -- the two picks are worthless under the Hendry regime.
  3. I pray that Hendry is not the GM of this team in three years. I'm hoping he isn't the GM NEXT year.
  4. Hopefully Shark, but probably Berg It's Berg. Who pitches after Dempster leaves after 5?
  5. You can only put so much pressure on the pitching staff before they crack. These relentless 1 and 2 run outputs by the offense are not only keeping the Cubs a .500 team, they will really come home to roost in the second half.
  6. The Score is reporting he is on the 15 day DL with the toe injury. Big Z moves up to pitch tonight.
  7. I don't think he has leverage anymore. I think that is an understatement. As things currently stand, if the Cubs asked Fuku to dress like a clown and dance on top of the dugout between innings, he'd have to do it.
  8. I believe Foster pitched the first Cubs - Sox interleague game, which is when that throwback uniform picture was taken (both teams wore 1906 replicas).
  9. Notified today :in transit, with scheduled delivery Sept. 25.
  10. Perhaps the bigger question is what to do with Fukudome for the next 3 years? Do you feel comfortable with him as the starting RF going into 2009? Is there any precedent for a Japanese player returning home and perhaps a payment back to the MLB team (contract buyout)?
  11. I'm with you on the stripeless home jerseys. The Cubs have never won with stripes. Go back to white with no names.
  12. I prefer to look at the positive aspect of this - 6 games left with the Dunn-less Reds. 5 wins probable.
  13. I would hate to see him turn up in either of the terrible bullpens of the two teams chasing us.
  14. A "letdown" game was fairly easy to predict. Losing 2 out of 3 would not be surprising. Following Milwaukee's ego-boosting 4 game sweep at St. Louis, they have now lost 6 of 7. It is only August 1 - nothing is won yet.
  15. Tonight is a must win. There is no way the lineup the Cubs are putting out there beats Lincecum on Thursday.
