Anybody going to watch?

I'd like to see some hockey, some skiing and snowboarding, a little speed skating, luge and skeleton, and I'm definitely going to find time for the curling.

I'm least interested in figure skating/ice dancing, opening and closing ceremonies, and

I actually could not care less about the Olympics this year. I got my fill of fun winter sports when X-Games were on the past few weeks.

The X games should get curling

I love the Olympics - both summer and winter. I do like to watch ice skating so I'll definately be watching all of that. I'll also watch skiing, the luge, speedskating, bobsledding, probably curling and maybe men's hockey. While I like ice skating, I abhor ice dancing.

I've been looking forward to the Olympics for quite some time now...I'm very excited it's time. I was mad, though, because 2 weeks ago, I injured my back and was laid up and couldn't do anything so I was home for almost 2 solid weeks - I wish either the Olympics would have been 2 weeks sooner or my injury happened 2 weeks later. It would have been great to have nothing to do except watch the Games. I did that when I moved to Phoenix in 2002 - I had no job lined up so I got to watch as many of the events as I wanted to.

Xtreme Curling?

Yeah, I'm big on luge and I'll probably catch some of the speed skating, too. Basically, if people are going at great speed on ice with really sharp things near them, I'm there.

There's only one international sporting event I'm interested in this year :D

The World Baseball Classis is going to disappoint.

Touche.

And well played, sir.

How about curling right in the the middle of snow-boarding, winner is the team that doesn't hit a snow-boarder.

I'll watch these before i ever watch Cuba and the Dominican Republic in the WBC

I always like the Olympics. I remember practically having a conniption when that Korean purposely yanked Ohno down in the short track final to give the gold medal to that Aussie who'd been in last the whole race.

I am a fan of the Olympics and I really enjoy watching the opening ceremony. After the Winter X-Games, I'm really looking forward to the competitions.

There's a new Comcast channel called UHD, Channel 846. From the listings it looks like they have several hours of Olympic coverage per day in HD. When they aren't showing the Games, they will be showing Knight Rider.

i'll definitely be watching the hockey portion of the olympics.

it's going to be nice to actually watch some good hockey instead of the crap the Blackhawks put out on the ice this year

snowboarding and skiing are also 2 sports I like to watch during the Winter Games.

Going down the bobsled run at Lake Placid really made me appreciate what these guys go through. Man, that was pretty cool.

Pictures? :D

I become more convinced every time they do it that activities at the opening ceremonies come about as a result of illegal drugs.

Even with the explanation from the commentator, the opening ceremonies are always confusing.

The rollerbladers with the fire coming out of their helmets are interesting.
