Trib[/url]"]Festering in the long shadow of the Bears-Packers rivalry, the Bears-Vikings "relationship" at times has seemed to make up in venom what it may lack in tradition.

For example, Minnesota defensive tackle Pat Williams declared the selection of Bears five-time Pro Bowl center Olin Kreutz a "joke." His agent suggested Kreutz mounted a conspiracy against Williams, who never has been picked.

"I wish I had that kind of power," Kreutz said, laughing. "I'd put all my teammates in the Pro Bowl."

Why would the corpulent Williams have a problem with Kreutz?

"I must have made him mad," Kreutz mused. "Stole his cheeseburger or something."

Man, the Viqueens really need to lay off the drugs.

From what I'm reading I don't see Rex playing at all. The coaches have all expressed how little can be gained from playing Rex, and now even Grossman is saying the few snaps he'd get wouldn't help much.

I'm hoping to see Orton air it out a lot.

i've said this in the other thread, if he plays, i can see another charles martin/hugh douglas incident brewing.

speaking of martin, when i was at the game last sunday, a packer fan told me that martin was his favorite packer of all time because of that one particular incident. what a classy fan.

What if Orton starts and the coaches let him air it out and these are his stats:

26-33 357 yards 3 TD 0 INT

I don't think I'd turn on ESPN 1000 or WSCR for the entire 2 weeks leading up to the playoff game...

Honestly, its so weird to watch this game and have no reason to care whether the team wins or loses. Here is a question: When is the last game that the Bears played where they already clinched the highest spot possible heading into the game and neither winning or losing effected them?

It had to be before 1994 because it didn't happen in 2001 or 1994.

Ahh the good ol' days.

That was the greatest game ever. I believe the Cubs lost, but I have never watched any sporting event with less emotion. It was fun.

Yeah, that was a blast.

Plz don't get hurt on that evil turf, Rex.

I really wanna win this game for the sole reason that we'd be undefeated in division play.

That's not saying much.

I'm glad Lovie pulled as many starters as he did, I'd like to see Jones get to 1300 ASAP. I'd probably pull Urlacher and Brown on D.

Hopefully after the 1st, he'll go with as many back-ups as possible.

In other news, Marty Schottenheimer might be out in San Diego.

That strikes me as a perfect fit for Ron Rivera. :(

Bring back Singletary?

Why toss wide and make Jones miss two unblocked tacklers?

Fake punt! Ha. Of course, why waste that in a meaningless game?
