Between Berrian, Gage, and Wade, I think Berrian is the one to be the most productive of he 3. Perosnally, none of them are starting WRs at this stage.

Berrian is out for at least 5-6 weeks. I'm thinkin Gage will be our guy not that it is a good thing.

I'd rather let Wade start.

Anyone else here was P'Nut did a few nights ago? I can't remember which coach it was, but he dressed up as Chewbacca, hid in the bushes, waited for the coach to come home, and jumped out to scare the you-know-what out of him. They got it all on tape. Too bad it wasn't released to the public. :(

HAHAHA, that would have been great.

Anyone catch NFL Live earlier today?

They were jockin the Bears pretty hard. Really talking up our de and comparing it favorably to the 85 team. Also talking up Orton for ROY and showed our 99 yard drive as the Drive of the Week. Said KO is really amazing for a rookie and is going to be something special.

Also said we would win the division without question and could go deep into the playoffs.

Unfortunately for the Bears, they're on a crash course to be the 4th-place division winner, matching them up against the top wild card team. You're talking about Atlanta/Carolina or NY Giants/Philly (whichever of those teams don't win their divisions). That's a pretty darn tough draw.

Looks like Gage will get the nod. From Rotoworld:

Justin Gage - WR - Bears

Justin Gage will be Chicago's starting wide receiver following Mark Bradley's season-ending injury.

Gage has only 33 catches in 32 career games. This is probably his last chance to start. Nov. 1 - 5:26 pm et

Where's Airese?

From today's Chalk Talk:

Larry: What exactly does the "reserve/non-football injury" list mean and will the Bears be able to use Airese Currie in place of Mark Bradley?

Tom V.

Tom: The reserve/non-football injury list is for players who either suffer non-football-related injuries or sustain injuries in college before they enter the NFL. That's the case with Airese Currie, who had surgery before the draft to repair an injury he sustained at Clemson. Currie is eligible to begin practicing, at which time the Bears would have three weeks to decide whether to add him to their 53-man roster, place him on injured reserve or release him. While Currie possesses tremendous speed, personally I think it will be difficult for him to make an impact this season. He has talent, but has yet to spend a single day participating in an NFL practice. It's more likely that Justin Gage, Bobby Wade or even Carl Ford will fill the void at the receiver position created by the injuries to Mark Bradley (knee) and Bernard Berrian (thumb).

Trib[/url]"]The Bears began to search beyond their own roster to ease the loss of rookie Mark Bradley by working out Charles Lee on Tuesday at Halas Hall.

Lee, a 6-foot-3-inch, 227-pounder, caught 11 passes for 152 yards, a 13.8-yard average, in six games with Arizona this season. The Cardinals cut him Oct. 24 after he committed two 10-yard penalties on punt returns and got into a sideline quarrel with his special-teams coach.

The Bears say the incident is a non-issue because Lee handled it satisfactorily after the fact. Lee, a former teammate of Thomas Jones' in Tampa Bay, has caught 72 passes for 957 yards and three touchdowns in six seasons.

Next up is fifth-round pick Airese Currie, who will practice Wednesday after spending all season on the non-football injury list. Currie underwent foot surgery in March.

The Bears also have contemplated re-signing receiver Eddie Berlin, though they can't do so until Week 12. A mandatory six-week waiting period follows his injury settlement, which paid Berlin through the first six weeks of the regular season.

Berlin would be a nice signing. Lee would at least be equivalent to Gage.

Pretty early to tell how the divisions will pan out. The Bears are only 1 game behind the division leaders of the other 3 NFC divisions, and with getting to play the North teams so often, I'd venture to say they probably have the easier schedule.

Not really "often" anymore. The Bears have already played 1/2 their division games, only 3 more left (2 GB, 1 MIN) out of 9. They still have Pitt, Carolina, TB, and Atlanta.

New Orleans too...2-6

The rest of those teams are a combined 20-8 right now.

If you ask me, that's a pretty tough schedule.

Maybe they meant SF? \

If the Bears win the next two, they got a brutal stretch with GB in the middle.

In short, win the next two, win your division games against terrible teams and the Bears are 9-7. The Lions would have to go 7-2 to get to 10-6 and the division.

Just a heads up for those of you who get the NFL Network...at 6 central, NFL Total Access will be doing a segment on the Bears.. and at 8 central, the Bears/Lions game will be featured as the NFL Network Game of the Week.

 yeah, that other crappy west coast NFC team.

Bill Swerski: Now, gentlemen, let me ask you this: What if Da Bears were all 14 inches tall, you know, about so high? Now, what's your score of today's game?

Carl Wollarski: Against Da Giants?

Bill Swerski: Yes, give 'em a handicap.

Carl Wollarski: Bears 18, Giants 10. And that would finally be a good game.

Pat Arnold: Yeah, it would be a good game. Mini Bears 24, Giants 14.

Todd O'Conner: What about Ditka? Would he be mini, too?

Bill Swerski: No, he would be full-grown.

Todd O'Conner: Oh, then, uh.. Mini Bears 31, Giants 7.

Carl Wollarski: Oh, hold on. Then I change mine, too. I thought it was Mini Ditka.
