Entertaining game as Cleveland wins 7-5. lead down to 2.5 games. Boone's two-run single in 8th was as clutch as they come. Indian pen is pretty good.

I remember Wickman when he was on the Brewers, but he didn't weigh 500 pounds then. Man, he's huge now! Not exactly lights out, but very effective nonetheless.

This is great.

Anyone besides me remember those pics of Ozzie giving the "choke" sign to the Cubs and the fans at Wrigley before game 7 of the 2003 playoffs at Wrigley?

I still kind of doubt they're really going to blow this, but if team led by Ozzie is really about to choke a 15 game lead away, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy....

I have to be honest, after getting crap ALL SUMMER from the Sox fans at my job, this is pretty fun to watch. After all those Cubs Choke T-shirts. After all the jokes about playoffs....its the Sox who are squandering the biggest division lead I've ever seen....if it happend would it be the biggest ever?

I can bet you good money we won't see too many 'Choke' T-shirts anymore if things keep going this way.

ahahhhahaha im enjoying this so much. i remember every saturday game that was on fox during the summer one sox fan in particular would send me messages about the cubs sucking and white sox being the greatest team ever. well, what goes around comes around. even if they dont blow the division, its still hilarious listening to sox fans call in on the score saying, "The season's over."

This makes for great drama, and it is fun to watch. I also get to watch some other fans sit around wringing their hands.

I really do feel sorry for my one friend - he's a good guy, and a good fan. The rest of those bitter, hating Sox fans are now getting a little comeuppance.

This game can be very humbling - even for the fans.

From a Cubs' perspective, there's been very little to root for this year. So it's been fun to watch the Indians play so well. Especially the way their kids have been producing.

This collapse would surpass the Cubs' choke job of '69.

Yes, choking away a 15 game lead in August would be the greatest choke in baseball history.

Certainly possible - not easy, but it could happen. The Yanks are now only a half game behind the Red Sox. This is a four-team race for three spots.

Let's hope so!

Actually, let's hope that the Yankees lose every remaining game and the A's and the Angels go on a massive roll together and it ends up Red Sox, Indians, A's and Angels!

I'm kinda enjoying the Sox implosion, also. Problem is, if they sneak in as a Wild Card, nobody will remember it as one of the biggest chokes in baseball history.

I'm going to the game tonight with UMFan. And I'm hoping to enjoy the continue of the collapse first hand.

PRONK ON!

Are the Indians the best team in the American League for a playoff run?

Perhaps all of baseball?

I think so.

Buerhle is 7-7 since accusing Maddux of spitballing.

Coincidence? I think not.

He's 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA since accusing the Rangers of stealing signs via the lightboards. Shouldn't have told teams how to beat him ;)

I listened to the Indians games last night and I could actually become an Indians fan after listening to their announcers. They are great. Probably the best I have heard all year. I do not ever know their names.

However, I wonder if the Indians can win with the manager they have. Millwood was getting hit hard a couple of innings before the Sox exploded. And he still would not take Millwood out. The Indians were lucky they did not lose the game.

I am not an American League fan but I think I will follow the Indians via radio from here on out.

I think their TV guys are pretty good too, in what little I've heard of them. I also like the Tigers' TV guys, though again I don't tune in that often.

The Indians' manager for the record is Eric Wedge.

Ozzie es un bastardo y muy loco tambien. El no me gusta. Ozzie, burro, es lo mismo.

I'm definitely with you on that. Those are the teams I'm rooting for.

Several of my Indians fan friends are "less than enamored" with Wedge, fwiw.
