The Sox opened the door, but the Tribe refused to walk through it. The Tribe now will most certainly have to sweep the Sox this weekend.

Take it easy buddy, there are still 2 games left before then.

Yes, but I do not think the Sox will lose to Detroit again - just a feeling. The odds are that they won't. That leaves Cleveland to take care of things at home.

Very true. I don't see them losing either, but hey, you never know...

We could be up by a game going into that series, or we could be completely eliminated (from the division). Never know.

That's pretty harsh. The Indians have played GREAT. Expecting them to win every game they play is a bit optimistic.

Woulda been nice though. The White Sox need to only win 1 game now to force a 1 game playoff for the wild card.

Tough day for the Indians as they lose to Tampa yet again and the

Sox win, extending their lead to three games.

This could be over before the Sox get to Cleveland.

Dark, dark days ahead; I can only hope for a quick three-and-out.

That abomination of an organization could suck the joy out of the entire postseason.

The Sox win today. They are going to the playoffs.

Cleveland still needs to win out to get the wild card.

I think the Yanks are going to win the AL east.

Wow  , watching this has been fun.

This season went from bad to worse really quickly over the last four days.

I've seen 99% of the playoff games over the last 15 years, but I may skip this whole damned postseason. The sight of those bastards staining the game's greatest stage just sickens me.

Wow relax, plus I would think you would want to to watch to see them lose.

Wow, lol. They've done a good job this year. 96 wins is a hell of a season.

The White Sox earned the playoff bid, had oustanding pitching for most of the year and were able to ride out the ups and downs offensively and struggles towards the end of some of the starters (Contreras was good throughout Sept.).

I'll still be in Clev. this weekend hoping they clinch the WC.

It's really tragic the way this thing collapsed.

At least I can look forward to thousands of longtime White Sox fans being unable to attend LDS games because of the flood of well-heeled Boston backers already on their way to Chicago. Buy 'em up dudes.

Maybe NSBB should start a "ticket broker" service for White Sox fans. All of us could buy up all the White Sox playoff tickets and then sell them to White Sox fans at tens times face value. :D

Had I known they'd wind up playing Boston I would have snatched up a truckload. I couldn't get past visions of me being left high and dry with a stack of worthless Sox-Angels tickets.

Too bad about your Indians Mike. I was rooting for them, and they did have one heck of a run.

I guess it must be difficult maintaining a run of .740 ball.

Of course, I wouldn't know. I am a Cub fan. :(

Here's to next season.
