I listened to the Indians games last night and I could actually become an Indians fan after listening to their announcers. They are great. Probably the best I have heard all year. I do not ever know their names.

However, I wonder if the Indians can win with the manager they have. Millwood was getting hit hard a couple of innings before the Sox exploded. And he still would not take Millwood out. The Indians were lucky they did not lose the game.

I am not an American League fan but I think I will follow the Indians via radio from here on out.

I think their TV guys are pretty good too, in what little I've heard of them. I also like the Tigers' TV guys, though again I don't tune in that often.

The Indians' manager for the record is Eric Wedge.

Several of my Indians fan friends are "less than enamored" with Wedge, fwiw.

You see this with every manager/team/fanbase, IMO.

There's a large contingency of Cardinal fans that perpetually want to get rid of LaRussa too, despite his success there.

I'd be willing to bet there are Braves fans who strongly dislike Cox too.

COME ON INDIANS!

Remaining schedules, btw...

Indians at White Sox (2 games)

Baltimore at Yankees (3 games)

Cleveland at Royals (4 games)

Twins at White Sox (4 games)

Toronto at Yankees (3 games)

Devil Rays at Indians (3 games)

White Sox at Tigers (4 games)

Yankees at Baltimore (4 games)

White Sox at Indians (3 games)

Yankees at Boston (3 games)

You've got to love it. Indians get seven with the Royals and Devil Rays!

Could the Yanks make up 4 on the White Sox?

Let's hope so!

Actually, let's hope that the Yankees lose every remaining game and the A's and the Angels go on a massive roll together and it ends up Red Sox, Indians, A's and Angels!

I'm definitely with you on that. Those are the teams I'm rooting for.

I think that scenario is just about impossible because the Angels and A's are playing each other 4 times.

Go Indians, Angels, Red Sox, Yankees!

I didn't mind Wedge's calls last night in the game with the exception of bringing Milwood back out in the 6th. Given, he didn't give up any runs, but he had been getting hit pretty hard all game, as was previously said, and he had just given up 4 runs (1 earned) in the previous inning.

I think that with the strength of our bullpen, you can afford 'yanking' a pitcher out of the game if he's having a less than stellar outing.

Tied 3-3 at the start of the 5th.

Terrible strike zone in the 5th. Indians should've had the bases loaded with 1 out in the inning.

Sorry to inform the broadcasters, but it's not hilarious that AJ stepped on Boone's back going around 3rd.

If someone had stepped on Crede's back like that on a similar play, you can bet Hawk and DA would be bitching and whining about it.

How can the Tribe have someone as terrible as Broussard playing 1B for them? Doesn't make sense with the talent in the system.
Broussard and Blake were both a lot better last year.

Broussard was .275/17/82 last year.

Blake was .271/28/88

I watched the game tonight and I think it was probably the first White Sox game I've ever watched. You guys are right. Their tv guys are terrible.

I thought Al Hrabosky was a big homer. Hawk makes Hungo look like Peter Jennings. That "he gone" thing is stupefying.

This was a tough one to swallow for the Indians. I thought Westbrook and Riske were kept in too long. Riske threw 26 pitches in the 9th, I didn't think sending him out for the 10th was a good idea. I kinda wanted Betancourt for the another inning too, but oh well. Hate to say it, but tomorrow is must win for the Indians, go Tribe!
