*uses hand to simulate a gun, puts it to temple and pulls trigger*

Lovely. Way to put your team in a "winning position" by not skipping Glensuckdon's spot in the rotation, Suckty.

I want to know what happened to the flash of brillance he once showed?

It's not Rusch's fault the defense behind him sucks. The first inning was his fault. This inning isn't.

regardless, Jeff Conine should not be 2 for 2.

Today is one of those rare days when I'll watch ESPN instead of WGN. Love to hear what Stoney has to say about the team these days. He's already said he thinks Burnitz will be back next year [-(

I would too. Please keep those of use stuck in the office w/o ESPN updated on Stone's comments.

BTW - Santo couldn't talk fast enough to defend Neifi on that bunt to Nomar. I've noticed Pat & Ron really love Neifi.

Unfortunately, it's looking like a fluke. Put him in a Cardinals uniform and he'd turn into a perennial Cy Young candidate though.

rusch...counting today's fine start , is at 7.87 era for his last 5 games...no reason to give hill a chance whne you can pop a veteren in that is almost as bad. yes, hill has not been good. he has shown flashes, i would just as soon see what he had over a longer period than 21 innings....if that's the case why play cedeno?

neifi is hitting .272 cedeno is only hitting .259.....better send him down to learn another pitch!

Crappy players do good against every Cubs pitcher, not just Rusch.

*cough* Bill Hall *cough*

Somebody remind me why Juan Pierre is such a crappy lead-off hitter and the Cubs shouldn't try to acquire him.

he's a Cub killer, that's about it. If we got him, i'd gurantee you he'd suck it up for us.

He looks good because he's hitting against Rusch. Think Jeff Blauser when you think of Pierre vs. the Cubs....

I don't mean to rain on anyone's self-pity parade, but for those who have lost family members to gun violence or to suicide, gun and suicide jokes are never funny.

You can express your displeasure without upsetting others, I think.

Whoa! That's kind of hard to read there. Let me try and fix it.

He's messed up in the head. Look At Jeremey Affeldt for the Royals. He's been moved around too often and can't get his arm and brain in sync.

I think it's the same thing.

There. I think you can read that now.

When Wellemeyer comes in, it'll be Houston all over again... that 11-2 finish I came up with earlier is all of a sudden a sure thing.

SWEET! The "Bartman Incident"!! YES!!!!!
