I'm here now. Hopefully I brought some runs.

Did you bring us a new manager as well??

I can't bring you everything. You'll have to settle for some runs if I can find some.

I'm definately looking in my couch, my cars, my GF pantyhose, but I'm definately looking for some runs. But I will continue to look around the house for some runs.

Who else think, the Cubs need to challenged Andy Petitte's son little league to a game? Who else think the Cubs would lose that game?

And Lawton grounds out on the first pitch. He's sure getting acclimated to Cubs baseball

Didn't take him long to get used to the "Dusty Baker System." Coming soon to a Tom Emanski video ad near you.

Matt Lawton sucks. Nice to know a player's OBP can drop 100 points just by getting traded to Chicago.

He's played how many games in a Cubs uniform & you already judging him? Geez!!

THAT'S why I like having Maddux and his superior baseball knowledge on my team. Great fundamentals.

His fundamentals wont be worth squat next year when he will be making 9mil.

Aww, you guys are always hating on him. Sure, he gets shelled sometimes, which completely inflates his ERA, but it's important to have him on the team. I know everyone on here thinks wins aren't important, but some guys know how to win and others don't. Clearly he's not the Maddux of yesteryear, but he definately knows the game and is important to have in the clubhouse. I like him.

Thats why I was against the trade because he wont make a difference on this team. Sorry, but the season is done for and more people have realized that after the Phillies series.

Hey, don't knock those. They led to back to back to back AAU championship teams.

I know where you are coming from, I just think that 9mil could be used on a younger pitcher or bat.

Listening to the radio... how poor is Macias' arm? I also think a real CF would have thrown out the guy at the plate yesterday from shallow center...

That's a fair assessment. I don't disagree that 9 is too much, (and to be honest, I wouldn't mind having him as a pitching coach, as was mentioned) I just like having him around to teach some of the pitchers on the team how to field, cover 1st, work the strike zone, etc. However, he can't hold a runner, yikes.
