Did Murton die? Honestly, give the kid a freaking chance, Dusty.

6. N Perez, SS .268 8 42 4

7. J Macias, CF .294 0 6 2

8. H Blanco, C .224 4 13 0

9. G Maddux, P .222 1 3 0

That will probably be good for a run or 3 today since we will all complain about it.

It's great that Murton hits near .500, but can't break into the starting lineup over guys like Macias and Neifi. I think the Trib needs to step in and bust some heads. This is becoming ridiculous.

Blueheart05, do you think you could shrink your avatar some? It's stretching the board and making it hard to read topics. Thank you.

Sorry, I didnt check the size after I posted it. No time to edit so I switched it back...

Haha, Macias plays again. Ridiculous.
I'm not a fan of Macias starting this often. Does anyone have his numbers since he has started in CF? It's can't be worse than what Corey was giving us in the 1st half of the season.

Macias as a CF is 5 for 14 this year. Way too small to draw any conclusions, and Patterson produced at a better rate than Macias has this season, as bad as Corey has been. That's how bad Macias is. Plus Macias is mediocre at best defensively in CF.

Man, I was thinking with this lineup, Seo must have really bad L/R splits. Well, he does! Righties hit .301 against him with an .840 OPS, while LHs only hit .242 with a .700 OPS.

Absolutely no reason for this lineup to be on the field today.

Explain how Patterson has produced @ a better rate this year than Macias? K/BB rates? OBP? avg.?

And Macias & Neifi will both bat left handed :wall:

If Dusty's really not trying to get fired, he's sure doing a damned good impression of a man who does.

Macias' OBP is .308 & Corey's is .270

Corey has a better slg % over Macias by only 26 points. Macias also has a better batting Avg.

So how has Corey been better @ creating runs than Macias, TY?

i cleared my schedule to watch this game.

forget it, now - i'm sick of watching dusty ruin this team. macias with 3 starts in a row is unacceptable for any major league (or aaa, for that matter) club.

Their OPS's are similar, but RC is more complex than that, I posted more about it in the thread about Grissom.

Once again, no Murton.

He's only hitting .417, but he hasn't started all week. That's freaking ridiculous. Dusty is a clown. I think I could handle the losing if we didn't have such an incompentent baffoon running the team.

I'm going to make this statement, but I don't think the Cubs will ever make it to the World Series as long as Dusty is at the helm.

I disagree. If there's one thing that can instantly catapult us back into WS contention it's the outstanding leather of Jose Macias in centerfield.

What a joke of a lineup. There is no way Dusty or anyone who supports him can say he doesn't favor veterans heavily over young players. What a worthless sack of s***.

I strongly agree Vance.

Am glad I have to go to work......it will save a lot of aggravation.

I already believed Hendry should quit drafting hitters who only bat right-handed, now I believe he should no longer draft outfielders who can't play all 3 OF positions.

God I hate Fox. If I wasn't such a sucker for pain I probably wouldn't watch this game today. Another day of McCarver and Buck. Oh Joy!!! :wall:

Edit: Crap, we have to listen to Morgan tommorow night. God hates us.
