I went back in 2007 and promised myself that I wouldn't go back again. Too many people in a hotel that lacks adequate convention space, a bunch of middle-aged autograph hawks, and a fight nearly broke out when one fan accused another of cutting in line to get Alan Trammell's autograph. No thank you. I'd rather spend my money to go down to Mesa. The weekend wasn't a complete loss though. My wife and I got to watch the Bears win the NFC Championship the next day.

The real issue is how the fans not being loud enough obviously affected Soriano at the plate, and forced him to throw his bat at all those low, outside pitches. Lou should be yelling at the fans. :roll:

As good as this team was in the regular season, my hopes were way up this year though. If a 97-win team can't do any better than a three-game sweep in the NLDS, it's just never going to happen.

I remember what it felt like when I was 10, playing 2B in Little League, and helped turn a 6-4-3 DP. I imagine it felt the same for Theriot there.
