Are you kidding? Dusty can't catch a break. People earlier were talking about the bad lineup he's tossed out there today. Do you really think there would be lots of people okay not having Lee and Ramirez in the lineup? A good bench and you could get away with that. A bad bench and you can't. THe guy can't catch a break from some people.

I've been begging for Lee to get a rest for about two weeks now. He knew the weather forecast going into the series in Cinci but still didn't sit him. Lee said that he could barely move at times in the heat in St. Louis but still, no rest. He complained again about how tired he was yesterday and still isn't resting. The fact that he complained publicly twice about being tired when he usually says he wants to play every day is significant.

 

If Dusty needs to go one game without either Lee or Ramirez, that's fine by me. Resting a player who's not swinging at 100% is going to be better for the team in the long run.

 

I was hoping Lee would've gotten the Thursday game against Pittsburgh (game 1 after All-Star game) off. I hope he gets Sunday's game off since I don't count a travel day as a day off.

that's 2 times in 3 days that baker has completly F$$%ED up. Why bat than pitch prior in the 8th inning. There is no point. This is getting ridiculous. There is no defending baker .

cubs have a 2 run lead going into the 8th. Starter comes out to pitch after throwing over 100 pitches. Starter gives up 2 runs and blows the lead. Dusty comes out afterwards cluelessly to finally pull the start.
