Great job offense!

I note that Todd Walker's walk rate is significantly lower this year... nice to see he's finally bought into the Cub philosophy of doing everything possible not to draw a walk.

Glad to see that JoBo is doing well in TB, or so I hear.

Lowered expectations?

No. I always liked JoBo. He may not have a overwhelimg fastball or anything, but the guy has heart, and is a class-act.

I meant not as much pressure - TB is not exactly a dominating club (although they did sweep the Yankees earlier this year).

No one is understanding me today - maybe I need to take an ESL course.

Oh. lol, my apologies Kat. I haven't had much sleep lately due to work and all.

That could be one reason, perhaps. Perhaps that he was feeling good when the Cubs DFA'ed him.

And yes O_O, someone stole Dempster's bike.

Some one stole Dempster's bike?!

A week or two ago, yeah. Stole it right out of his backyard. It's a blue and white Trek.

Wait. Neifi just bunted a popout to short? How does that happen?

Neifi is a pioneer of suckitude. He is always blazing a trail of new and inventive ways to fail.

Derrek needs a day off, IMO.

Then Derrek should have hinted at that.

Oh, wait. He did.

Dusty has been very un-Dusty-like in that regard this year. Any other year and he would not have been riding Lee and Burnitz this hard.

Dusty either ignores or is oblivious to the obvious sometimes.

I think the Almighty could blast a message into a stone wall with lightning right in front of him and he would disregard it if he didn't agree.

Are you kidding? Dusty can't catch a break. People earlier were talking about the bad lineup he's tossed out there today. Do you really think there would be lots of people okay not having Lee and Ramirez in the lineup? A good bench and you could get away with that. A bad bench and you can't. THe guy can't catch a break from some people.

Boooo, an unearned run

Actually, is that earned? He wouldn't have scored if the error hadn't moved him to 3rd.

Probably a Cardinal fan!

How the hell is Tony Clark hitting .328 with 16 HRs in less than 200 ABs?!?!? When I last saw him his bat looked slow as hell and I was thinking I could probably get him out.

I agree.

I hate how Dusty always tries to concede the run. Especially in a close game. In 6-0 (other team winning) blowouts, he'll pull the infield in.

That's standard baseball with a two-run lead. You trade the run for the out with only eight outs left. If you play the infield in, you increase the chance for a hit, that would mean a 2-1 game with a man on.

6-0, you play the infield in to prevent the game from being further out of reach.

When you're ahead by more than a run you never bring the infield in with nobody out... one out I'd consider it, but bringing the infield in with no outs is opening the door for a bigger inning.

Well, he doesn't want to pull a Gordon, or a Ozzy.
