I'm late coming in... why on EARTH is that waste of space (albeit smallish) Macias playing 3B and in the lineup? If there's something wrong with Aramis, I'd MUCH sooner see Cedeno out there.

Not to mention that Macias had a nice AB.

Vazquez has been a Jekyll and Hyde type pitcher lately. Looks like we got Hyde today. Should be an easy win with Prior on the mound.

Cedeno had an o-fer yesterday. obviously he needs to sit on the bench and learn some more.

 

meanwhile, Macias is a proven veteran and already knows everything.

 

I'm the biggest cedeno fan on the planet, and he just looked outmatched yesterday, against a crappy lefty pitcher. Murton on the other hand hasn't looked out matched. I'd like to see Ronny worked in with regular playing time yes, but I don't want him thrown in to the fire.

 

Macias had a great at-bat working vasquez as well. I think some people just like to complain when rookies don't play, regardless of the situation.

Note to those of you who replied about Macias: it's not so much that I think he's not a good player (even though that is my opinion), as much as I just don't trust Dusty. Who knows what hair-brained idea Dusty will come up with to justify playing his "pet" more often, once he has a good game when Dusty plugs him in. Edited July 29, 2005 by KatJ
