Nice close series. Too bad the Cards can use the excuse that they're missing three regulars. Then again, we're missing two and a half (including Patterson) regulars.

Way to go Bernie Mac.

F the Cubs. F'em. Im just sick and tired of this pathetic, good for nothing team. I have never hated the Cubs before this year. I dont like them. Screw my loyality. Ive been loyal my entire life and time and time again they let me down. Im done with it.

and of course we get a call against us and can't find a way to overcome it - sigh.

I can't believe we might leave St Louis with only 1 win when there's no reason we shouldn't have taken all 3.

I can't stand this for too many years!!!!!!

First: Blame the umps, all you want, but the blame has to go to Dempster/Blanco. You have Seabol down 0-2, and you walk him on 4 offspeed pitches? That is idiotic. You MAKE him hit to get on. They go after Seabol this game is over. Plain and simple.

Second: The Cubs are going to win it here.

umpires give cardinals a run. wonderful!!!!

I believe he was out at 2B too, but the umps didn't give them the run, just the stolen base - the Cubs gave him the walk followed by the hit.

Who's the ump at second, Rapuano or Cuzzi?

As long as I'm not implicated in a murder investigation, it's Cuzzi.

There we go, Todd.

Dempster pitched him like a chump. That was ridiculous. No power, ahead in the count, and couldn't throw a lousy strike. But he was out at 2B, for sure.
