and of course we get a call against us and can't find a way to overcome it - sigh.

I can't believe we might leave St Louis with only 1 win when there's no reason we shouldn't have taken all 3.

I can't stand this for too many years!!!!!!

First: Blame the umps, all you want, but the blame has to go to Dempster/Blanco. You have Seabol down 0-2, and you walk him on 4 offspeed pitches? That is idiotic. You MAKE him hit to get on. They go after Seabol this game is over. Plain and simple.

Second: The Cubs are going to win it here.

You misunderstand me - the blame to the umps only goes for the call at 2B - a bang bang play could have gone either way - we get the blame for putting him on in the first place followed by giving up the hit

I was TOTALLY throwing this back on you, per se, I was saying in general.

True story:

This afternoon, I listen to the Cardinals (KMOX) call of game one of this series on Gameday Audio. One of the broadcasters (not Shannon) said watch out for Neifi Perez. At some point in this series he's gonna get a big hit. LOL, I laughed it off at the time considering Neifi's slump. :D :D :D

Ok, because of that you know that means Dusty is going to talk Hendry into re-signing Neifi after the year instead of letting him walk and letting Cedeno get some time or back up Nomar.

And damn, is he getting annoying with the names. It's like he's doing it to stand out. It's Per-EZ, not PAIR-ez. I remember when he called the Alou's "Ah-low" a few years ago.

SHUT. UP!

i am suprised the ump called blanco out there.

looked to me like he gave the leg, took it away, and was safe. just as safe as Luna.

I Love Cubs/Cards games. What other series has been like this? A walk off squeeze and a 10th inning grand slam. WOW I LIVE FOR THIS!

You know it! That's two heartbreak games in the series (one for each). You know the Cards thought they had this game the way it started then they had to love their chances after coming back to tie at home.
