WOW--what a weekend of baseball. I was at the first 2 games (should post some great pics here soon!! :D )

Now this seems to be kind of the tough thing for this team. Taking momentum and building on it. Let's come home pumped and take it to the giants!!!!! Then carry it over to the D-backs. 4 of 6 would be nice--5 of 6 would be awesome, 6 of 6 would be just

4.5 back in the WC. LEt's go get em boys

yeah we have to role with this. No more splits with cincy. It's time to put our feet on some throats. The playoffs are fun, lets go back to them.

I vow right now to never call Neifi worthless again, he still may not be good, but that was just awesome.... to bad that wasn't the last game at Busch or at least the last Cubs game at Busch. :P

Going back a few innings, the Cardinals are a good team because they can string hits together and make things happen. The Cubs are still back on thier "sit back and wait for the 3-run homer" mode, not walking and such.

Before you give them too much credit please remember that 3 of their 4 runs came on homeruns.

I'm not talking about today's game. I'm talking about all season.

The Cardinals can slug with anyone, but they can also get consecutive singles and doubles when they need to.

The Cardinals have only scored 41 runs more then the Cubs this year. The Cubs have out hit them 932 hits to 895, 1545 to 1409 in total bases, and out slugged them .459 to .428. They have 68 more walks, but only .009 advantage in OBP. All it says is the Cubs have had both some bad luck and can stand to take a few more walks.

I think you're confusing this team with the 2004 Cards.

Sometimes two wrongs do make it right...

Thank you CB!

he was out. even Morgan agreed. but even if he blew it, it wouldn't make a right. this umping crew owes us plenty.

for instance, like I mentioned earlier, the borderline strike call was about 14-0 in favor of the Cards tonight. but it goes back to last year too, ie when Rapuano called a foul ball when Agonz wrist was broken. this crew also blew a couple calls on the bases for us earlier this year, and has been responsible for a couple of the strike threes not called for Maddux that ended up leading to big innings.

like I said earlier, why is it the Cubs always seem to have to overcome bad umpiring?

I know.... more than likely I will be screaming at him TOMORROW.

But that is still one of the highlights of this season (doesn't take much really).

I absolutely cannot stand Neifi Perez, but that sure feels like a little bit of revenge for all the big HRs hit by crappy Cardinal hitters over the few years against us in the late innings at Busch. didn't Womack hit like all his HRs against the Cubs last year?

Yeah, Womack hit all or most of his HR's against us last season.

Remember when Kerry Robinson hit a walk-off HR against us? Yeah, this definitely does feel like revenge.
