Jerry doubles!!!! :D

Who dissed this Hairston chap?

Aha, Ceegar chomping Jack is tossed out for arguing the call. :)

it's great to see a manger with actual fire. He goes out there, gets in the guy's face, and tells him his mother is ugly.

A lot better than going out there, standing really far from the ump, shaking your head and mumbling for 2 seconds, and then wandering back to the dugout and coming up with more stupid lineup changes.

In fairness Mota has a pretty big lefty/righty split.

Plus you want Kerry going at least one more inning so you don't want to pinch hit for him.

In terms of BAA, just a difference of .007 this year.

Jerry!

In terms of OBPA, a difference of .103 this year and a difference of .040 in slugging.

I doubt Dusty is going to be looking at OBPA and with a runner at second, you need a hit. Couple that with the big disadvantage Hollandsworth has with coming off the bench and that's textbook over-managing to me.

We're also carrying 12 pitchers, so we don't need a bench any thinner later on, especially when one of those guys has yet to have a big leage PA.

But if he gets us to the 9th down a run, what good is that. I'd rather take the chance on tying the game and hope the bullpen has something left.

Bringing in the bullpen may make it a bigger deficit. Our middle relief is unpredictable.

Baker, your butt was just saved by Jerry Hairston, a RIGHT HANDED hitter... what now?

He got lucky.

Just like two years ago against Houston when Z bailed him out with a huge homer.

Well we'll have to disagree then.

Kerry hasn't had the opportunity to work deep into games very often this year. Toonight he does and he's rolling.

Our bullpen has seriously been brutal. Who do you go to in the 7th and 8th? I don't have confidence in anyone to get us through 2 innings in a tight game like this.

Their bullpen has had problems and we can get to them like we have this inning.

If he continues to work efficiently he could go the distance or at least should get it to Dempster.

Sigh. Ramirez is hurt again. I hope it's nothing more than a sore toe from that foul ball earlier today.

I don't know. Jack was pretty weak last night running iterference late in the game when one of the Marlins was called out on a check swing. He didn't even say anything to the ump. He walked out, put his arm around the batter and walked him back to the dugout. It was pretty pathetic.
