I don’t think this team can’t afford to lose Seiya . He is basically the only real RH power bat they have .  I know it will probably take 5 years , but horsefeathers it , don’t care . Big market team with money , take the pain at the backend of the deal .

Holmes seems like another good extension candidate  3 year deal for him ? I still don’t love giving Rojas away , but extending Clay would make me feel better . Get to work Jed

Anyone think the last Cardinals' reliever got away with numerous mistakes?  Thought I saw several hung sliders over the middle along with a few BP fastballs.  Cubs didn't make him pay for any of those mistakes, still won.

Very nice win, keep putting the pressure on the Brewers.  Brewers getting Yamamoto tonight, at there's a chance they'll lose.

Honestly a 2-2 split would be best for the Cubs.. i was thinking about this today and while passing the Brewers is the ultimate goal. Getting a top 2 seed is also important

Can’t be a top two seed if they don’t win the division.

Ultimately I like the split idea. The Brewers are due for regression with their pitching situation.

W!

Now let’s all hope Edwin Diaz has gastro or died or something like that, so he doesn’t pitch against the Brewers over the next 3 days.

I really played the long game on that jinx, didn’t I?

Diaz is a complete mess.  2 outs but he has absolutely no idea where the ball is going.

I had the same thought. A lot of these aren't even close.

Relief pitchers can be fickle but Kyle Tuckers face plant is the biggest mystery.

No doubt.
