His 4 seam velo is only 90.4mph today, and I think it's intentional.  He's throwing less 4 seams, too.  Maybe, the weird target thing, you know lifting the mitts up high is working for him, even with Kelly?  Either way, he's been good for now, and I'm happy.😄

Problem with Shota is that there is no in between with him . You just have to pray he is in a good spot when the playoffs come . If he isn’t he isn’t worthy of a roster spot especially in a best of 3 . 
 

Boydcis such a key pitcher . With Boyd pitching well and hopefully an impact SP via trade they are in good shape on a best of 3 .

I don’t mention Cabrera because he has been so underwhelming . Unfortunately I don’t trust him to start a game . I know he will if healthy ,but i just don’t trust him . Hopefully he can fix whatever is wrong with him. I would say though that his stuff  seemed to have been back at the time he got hurt .

 

Edit ; Shota is such a huge wild card as well .

It's pretty simple in my mind.  Shota's career ERA with Amaya is 2.80, and it's 1.80 (with below league average HR/9) this year.  It's really good to see he pitches well with Kelly today, because his career ERA with Carson is 4.42, and 5.43 this year.
