if Pedro keeps playing like this it makes Shaw mighty expendable.  I mean they are set around the diamond with at least one viable, cost controlled option as a backup.  What will be the excuse not to get a top flight starter in a few weeks.

Now that he's dropped the Harry Caray schtick Dempster is tolerable. Cohen slightly less so. Both are better than 90% of booths in baseball. As Cubs fans we are spoiled with some of the best. Some of you need to watch some other feeds. There is some brutal announcing out there.

Agree we are spoiled for the past booth we had up until Kasper left.

I dont mind Cohen, he needs work on his overall conversations with whomever in the booth with him, but his play by play calls are pretty good.

Boog isn't my favorite, but if you don't think we're still spoiled with a national level broadcaster, you really need to listen to some A's or Pirates broadcasts.

Agree, and hes a switch hitter who has played some outfield this season in Iowa.

Problem with trading Shaw is the injury hasn't healed and theres only 2 weeks left for him to be well enough to start swinging a bat again, they can trade him but medicals would need to clear him.

It’s hard to imagine keeping both.

Im sure there are much worst, but I never cared for boog before he joined the cubs. National guy or not he bores me with his yapping and all.

Him being a national guy is what separates him from what we had as far as being spoiled,  because not only who we had were top notch PBP guys, they were also very much into the cubs and were fans of the team like us. Boog calling cubs games and everything else he does is the same as he would calling other teams games on ESPN.

Pedro or Shaw - Who do you keep?!

If you can get what you want for Shaw, do it. If it takes Pedro, do it.

Second triple this weekend with assistance from Twins outfielders.

Its nice of opposing defenses to remind us why we should be thankful for an elite defense.
