I mean we haven’t tried pitching him yet. Maybe that would be the difference maker. Do you think he throws a knuckleball?

I don't know, but I heard Seiya pitched, when he was in high school.😁

It’s kind of wild how jarring it is to go from getting used to experiencing a Cubs win almost every day for close to a month to immediately experiencing a Cubs loss almost every day for 2.5 weeks.

Bring back the steroids era. Just imagine how many home runs they would have hit today.

They have a bunch of warning track power guys.

Seriously,  they do not have hitters built for WF wind that blows in or across majority of time, they need a couple Schwarber type mashers.

somebody on the coaching staff is definitely getting future endeavored after this game

Maybe but it won’t be Counsell. They’re still technically in a playoff spot right now which I realize is like the pig flying through the air in the Simpsons with Homer saying “it’s still good it’s still good” but they won’t fire him. Won’t be Hottovy either. Maybe the hitting coach.

If only a guy like Kyle Schwarber was available recently

Seriously..

If they just played 500 ball the last 2 weeks and looked like they had a pulse, id feel a little better about this team.

They're about to evaporate that first 10 game streak by going 10 under the last 14 games.

Seriously, the Astros started a guy with Taillon type stuff today and the Cubs barely did anything.  Imagine what won't happen when the face an actually good pitcher.

Did Cubs pitching actually pitch a scoreless inning after they scored? When was the last time that happened?  Three weeks ago?
