thats not really true, the draft this year is full of EDGEs. DT is a bit thinner, however

I guess it comes down to whether you feel confident at 25 if you can find a guy who is equivalent to Maxx Crosby at age 29. I think... it's usually pretty dicey that thats the case. It certainly happens! How much of an edge scouting wise do you think you have on the 24 other teams in finding that guy?

assuming not all the other 24 are looking for an edge, and the higher likelihood of finding a good one, you should be able to find a solid one. I'd rather make a trade for a guy like Simmons than an edge.

In other news, it looks like Chubb will also be available. He'd prolly be option #3 for me, however

Don't see a team giving the Raiders multiple first rounders for Crosby.  If they want to move him they'll be forced to lower the price tag.

There is just no precedent for a team getting 2 firsts for a guy Crosby's age and production. Younger guys sure, older but more elite guys like Myle Garrett sure. A 1st and a 3rd or a 4th, I think that's where his value is.

Honestly, I wouldn't give a first for Crosby, a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th possibly.  He's too old, coming off knee surgery and not as good as a Parsons or Garrett.

There's going to be a few teams in on him (probably even the Bears). So I'm guessing the Raiders will get a first. I'm thinking something like 1st and 3rd for Crosby and a 4th.

There has to come a point where the bears draft their own talent in the trenches. I don’t like coughing up $35 million that can be used on free agents and extensions +3 draft picks AKA cheap players for an injured edge.

We haven’t drafted horsefeathers since Tommie Harris and that’s not a big surprise when Leonard Floyd was your only 1st round pick since Harris used on the DL. I wouldn’t mind McDonald as a run stopper. Dexter is effective and only effective when Billings is out there eating up space. If Hendrickson is available I’d rather go that route too.

Crosby disrupts offenses all by himself. I'd drool all Summer at the thought of him being added to this defense. But, I like the idea of keeping picks and adding via free agency since Chicago is going to be a place players want to be. Hendrickson or Chubb would be nice complements to what they have now.

I was thinking about this, thinking perhaps, a run stopper may be more important.  My thought is if teams can't rush the ball against the Bears that'll put them in many more passing situations.  Given this, and, it's harder to pass block than run block, the Bears will get to the QB.  They'll get to the QB with Dexter, Booker, Sweat and say, Hendrickson.

ESPN is proposing DJ Moore and a first to Vegas for Crosby and a fifth. That’s a no brainer, right?

The No-est of brainers. Essentially a single 1st for Crosby and the top 5th rounder for DJ. I've been hoping for a late 4th (Buffalo, Baltimore).

Exactly. Micah Parsons was had for 2 firsts and an aging player. Crosby will be 2-3 years older at the time of trade and already has a contract that the trading team has to maneuver under their cap space.

Parsons is also the better player, so that + age + the ability to build his contract extension to your personal cap situation is much more valuable than Crosby, IMO.

Do it! Smash that trade button!! (provided its anything above like a 5th rounder)

They might as well try, ultimately, I do not believe any team is going give two firsts for Crosby.

Interesting. Nothing too surprising here (Ben Johnson is widely adored), only thing that slightly stood out to me is that Dennis Allen seems to be the thing Bears players like the least:

Treatment of families needs to be prioritized. That horsefeathers gets around. Everyone knows theyre not a first-class organization. Not Bulls bad, but really bad. Sending coaches on coach flights for interviews, the horsefeathers morons.

George looks like the biggest horsefeathers putz in the league too. Cant imagine many players like interacting with him.

They like Poles too.  All the leaders get high marks.  I wonder how that compares to the past.  I don’t know what goes into the low family score but of course they should take notice and address it.
