If you want the short version: Judon is not even close to the player he used to be.

 

If you want the long version… buckle up:

Overall PFF Grade: 43.3 (112th out of 112 EDs)

Dead last. As in, literally the worst-graded edge defender in the NFL.

 

Pass Rush Grade: 47.7 (111th out of 112 EDs)

This one hurts. Judon was once known for terrorizing quarterbacks. Now? He might as well send them a polite holiday card instead.

Run Defense Grade: 54.6 (90th out of 112 EDs)

Even against the run, where aging pass rushers sometimes still contribute, Judon struggled badly.

Total Pressures: 10 (105th out of 112 EDs)

In 13 games. TEN. Aidan Hutchinson had that many by breakfast in September.

That’s right. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

A “stop” means a play that actually helps the defense. Judon made five of them… all year.

I know the Bears were interested in Judon a couple of years ago but he chose the Falcons. 

I would personally say no.

I don’t even know how Burden was injured.  I was OK with Odunze being out because of Burden.  Both of them out?  That’s going to suck.

I really hope that we don't have to go into this game with Devin Duvernay being our #3 receiver. That would suck.

And I'd totally take a flyer on Judon for like, the practice squad. See what that dude can do, or have anything left in the tank. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has actually provided some value for us. Sometimes a change of scenery does a lot for a MF.

Maybe unpopular, but why the hell not? The Bears are only playing Sweat, Booker and Tryon-Shoyinka there (Dom Rob a healthy scratch last 2 weeks). 

I wouldn't put in a claim or anything, but if he passes thru waivers, bring him in and see what he can do vs SF and Detroit. Maybe he finds the fountain of youth in a playoff race since its been 4 years since his last. If not, no harm, no foul.

Outside of Thuney, Jackson is only 28 and Dalman is only 27. Interior lineman age well. Their cap hits are the only the only concern.

Which is why I said they will have to be replaced in year one of Caleb’s deal 

 

draft one per year in 26/27/28 and you can do that.
