That last PI on the Lions to end the game was horrifyingly bad. There was an even worse one earlier in the day in the Dolphins game that will be circulating all week since there was little to no contact at all.

It's probably time for someone of significance to make some headlines with the bad officiating/gambling implications of these games.

Watched that and was thinking has officiating taken a downturn or is something else afoot?  With the Bears, time and time again, we've seen missed/fabricated calls certainly makes one think about gambling implications.

That facemask still blows my mind. Did the refs really not  notice his head turn sideways and his momentum stop for a second before the guy finally let go? Also we now have 2 out of 3 weeks with a blatant helmet to helmet on a Bear receiver  and zero call even though the guy two weeks ago was fined a few days after the game for the hit.

Made even worse when you see the official in the background watching it happen.

the one with Kmet I can see letting go, since he lowered his head too and was definitely not a defenseless receiver... unless i'm missing another one from yesterday that you're referencing

It's not about being a defenseless receiver, it's that a defender can not lead with their head.

JJ wasn’t *that* touted coming out of college.  He won the nat’l title.  Thats not automatically an NFL credential.  Maybe people are just incorrectly putting him in the same category as Williams & Maye, who were blue chip picks with all the expectations that come with it.  The Vikings may have thought they scored a better player than they did.  We’ll see.  I think he gets much more time to develop than this.

I never understood the fascination with JJ. There were games where even Harbaugh didn't trust him and just ran the ball continuously. What other QB goes in the top 15 and has their college coach basically take the game out of their hands at times?

As much as I loathe the Vikings, I agree, McCarthy deserves more time, Caleb' far from a finished product, McCarthy' even further away.  I'd like to see McCarthy end up being a bust, I also know better.  McConnell, while slightly overrated, is still a very good coach and will improve McCarthy' game, to what extent, we'll see.

On a side note I have a deep seated hatred for McCarthy, well not so much him as the media' coverage of him as compared to Caleb.  There's an extreme double standard with hints of racism.

As unimpressive as the Bears wins have been this year, the packers aren’t much better. They tied the lowly cowboys team that the Bears blew out. They lost to the garbage Browns and also lost to Carolina and squeezed out a win over nyg. They did beat Detroit in week 1 and are one of only 5 nfc teams with a positive points differential over 10. They should overtake the bears eventually but they could definitely split with Chicago and/or Minnesota. And also have to face a desperate Detroit team soon and a surging Baltimore and extremely hot Denver.

I want to see Denver’s D tee up on Love like he’s never seen.

Sure seems that way, and not just with Caleb and JJ.

I just cant dunk on McCarthy when our generational talent hasn't hit a 40 yard air pass in ~6 weeks and is showing a strange fear of throwing from a clean pocket, while having the touch and feel of David coming back from the dentist.

even if Caleb sucks you can still enjoy Nine being terrible

With their OT loss to the Lions, the Giants are the first team eliminated from playoff contention.

If I'm a coach up for a job after this year, the Giants are one of those jobs I'm hoping to land. They look like they have a legit QB and RB, they have a very very good WR. They're looking at a top 3 pick.

The Giants could easily be in the NFC playoff hunt if they weren't getting Matt Eberflusian results down the stretch. Are we sure he isn't involved with the team somehow? Brought in as a consultant maybe?

I heard right after Daboll was fired that they’ve blown 4 games where they lead by 10 on the road in the 4th quarter (I think I got the stat right) and the rest of the league has blown 1 game like that.

Is the Rams the best team in the NFC?

The Rams are dismantling the Bucs and now Mayfield seems to be hurt.

With the Eagles looking human I’d say so.

JJ McCarthy is in concussion protocol.  So that's how they're gonna put him on the shelf for a bit without looking like they're benching him...

The toughest part might be convincing JJ that he was concussed.
