ATP, Hodge should only pitch in blow outs. I mean how bad are you when you can make the Reds pathetic offense look good. I don't think the Reds can hold this lead but OTOH I'm not sure the Cubs can come back this late in the game.

We already had our weekly “score more than 4 runs” game this week so we’re screwed

This is why I was not a fan of them celebrating of earning a spot in the playoffs. They seemed to have taken the foot of the pedal.

I am not doom bonering right now because I do believe the Cubs can and should win the next two in the series but they do need to wake up.

Padres losing and Mets winning renders this game meaningless, most especially for the Reds.  Ha, ha suck it Reds.  Although I’m growing tired of the Cubs making these clowns look good.

You’re just asking what the rest of us are wondering. That was embarrassing. Out by a mile

argument would be there were two outs. 🤷‍♂️ Judgement call

If they wanted to be sure to not have Suzuki get thrown out that's a really bad send.

However, I wonder what the estimated success rate is on a send like that?  It's very likely not over 50%.  But I suppose it's possible for it to be higher than Turner or Swanson getting him in if he stays at 3rd?

Not the shortest throw from the cutoff but it's not like a SS can't throw to a base from their position, so still a bad send IMO.  If the throw came from the OF on the fly you could argue for the send.

This team needs the real Tucker and Suzuki to show up in the playoffs, plus Boyd.  I don't really care if the team limps a bit the rest of the way, they pretty much have 1st WC seed in the bag.  Not really concerned about Shota but those other 3 aren't trending well.

I'm also a little concerned that PCA will let the emotions get the best of him and will try to do too much once it's playoff time, especially on throws and baserunning.

The 4 run forcefield is up again.  Looking forward to the game next week where we surpass it

The rule states that in a calendar week, no more than 2 games of 5+ runs and a mandated less than 5 runs/game average. Rule has been in effect since July 28th.
