When the networks put the bears in national tv slots, they tend to regret it. Chicago is somehow a 1.5 point favorite despite allowing 27 points to a team that scored 6 the following week and 52 points to a team that scored 13 the week before. Dallas has already put up 60 points to the bears 45. Taking the over has worked so far this season. And these two teams have averaged 61.25 so far in their respective games.

So maybe we’re due for a boring stinker of a low scoring game. But that would require the Bears stopping a competent QB, something they’ve rarely done in recent years.

The original injury was Johnson tearing the adductor off his pelvic bone. That sounds very painful.

Yes it does, and you can bet whatever happen to Edwards and Gordon are the worst case scenarios as well.

Some good will come out of the inevitable TJ Edwards is done for the season announcement, I think Sewell will turn out to be a player.  A pick that Poles actually hit on, imagine that, it also took two years but, better late than never.

DJ?

That would be my guess, considering in the same interview he mentioned gaining trust in Burden and giving him more packages in the next game.  Plus the ongoing pointing out of his body language and concerns about effort.

Can’t remember who, but last year there was some commentary about DJ to this effect.  Wouldn’t surprise me.

The yards before contact to attempt being 1st means it's the most in the league, correct? Which is crazy, because I would not have guessed the Bears line is doing that well

The line is going to get better, most have already dismissed the Bears OL acquisitions as failures.  Give them a few more games, even though Caleb' been sacked quite a few times.  You can see the PP has improved, it's mainly Caleb holding on to the ball.  Once Ben Johnson breaks Caleb of this habit and convinces him that playing on time is the big play we'll see consistent results.

Because he gave up and went toward the sideline on a play where he wasn’t targeted

In no way am I excusing DJ but, wasn't he technically not an eligible receiver or blocker because of something about being pushed out of bounds?  The manner in which he just went and sat on the bench was ****** even though he was unable to participant in the play.

I remember that.  There was also a tape review on YouTube - might have been Warner - where he was saying it’s the same guy every week.  He didn’t explicitly call out DJ but it seemed pretty obvious.

If he was loafing Sunday, not blocking down field because the Bears were hopelessly trailing.  I've no problem with phasing him out or benching him.  I'll bet Luther will bust his ass out there regardless of the score.

DJ obviously had a better connection with Fields, but he got paid, hasn’t played well, and doesn’t seem to be putting in the effort like he should. Caleb‘s lack of accuracy isn’t helping, but DJ‘s body language hasn’t looked good.
