Why can’t it just be a loss? Why is everything so dramatic? What makes this an awful loss compared to any other loss? They are basically running out the season with the probability of finishing as the first WC team. This is just a game they lost. Not a huge deal.

Haha I had a feeling I was going to be called out on this. As this was happening I was watching my kid pitching and he was in the process of blowing the game while the Cubs blew a fake rally so I guess you can say I was in an “awful loss” mindset. No the loss isn’t damaging. Yes it sucks to lose a winnable game on Anthony Rizzo day when the tying run was on 3rd and winning run on 1st with no outs

edit: also they put my kid in with the bases loaded 0 outs in the last inning with the top of the order due up facing 4 straight travel kids and asked him to protect a 2 run lead. He gave up 4 runs, only 1 earned but it drove me up the wall that they put him in an impossible position because they wanted to try some kid out who couldn’t even throw it over the plate and walked 4 straight batters on 16 pitches 🤬🤬🤬🤬

This is how I feel too. What is kind of funny is I was at my grandson’s game earlier today and they won being down by 1 run because the pitcher walked 6 guys in a row in the last half inning. I thought maybe Fairbanks was going to do the same thing. Keep in mind my grandson is 9. So pitchers do walk a lot of guys at that level. Sucks to lose, and especially having a guy at 3rd with no outs. But in the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal.

Concussion symptoms for Caissie.

So much for him getting some experience to close out the year, guessing he goes on IL now with Alcantara returning.

Brewers just walked it off because why not

Ha! Yeah - it’s been their season the way things have fell their way.

Question is - will this fortune favor them in October? One can hope not……🤷‍♂️

Phillies are right on their tail.  I would rather play the Brewers in the NLDS so not a big deal

He needs to let the ball get deeper. Its like everything he swings he expects something middle in that he can pull hard. I would almost like to see him intentionally try to let breaking balls get a little deeper and send them the other way. Easier said than done against MLB pitching

You were listening to Coomer, too.

Ha, I missed that one. I used to coach HS and American Legion. I know not even close to MLB. But he seems to be in front of everything. Its probably how just about anyone would try to coach him. Like I said though, alot more difficult at the MLB level than I could even imagine.
