I understand these are garbage innings, but is it me that feels Ben Brown just doesn’t cut it? Personally, these are the ONLY types of games I feel remotely comfortable with him. He’s terrible

Actually, Brown has been sucking for a while, or I should say for the whole season.

Non-credit where it’s due: Brown has sucked this inning.

This inning? lol how about 95% of the times he’s pitched this year. What favor do they owe that guy? Or maybe it’s nepotism of sorts. I just don’t get it - they keep “hoping” but he keeps showing them he’s not an MLB pitcher.

Can’t help but laugh at the hilarity of a ML coach grabbing some binoculars and hiding in the bushes to steal signs from 450 feet away. Baseball is such a weird and wonderful sport.

Or, and hear me out, he’s a 25-yr-old who has a whopping 38 games under his belt. He’s got good stuff, but needs to develop feel for a third pitch, and he’s been out there because we’ve had a number of injuries to our staff. I get that he’s frustrating, but he’s learning the ropes in one of hardest games in the world at that game’s most elite level. The Paul Skenes of the world who show up and dominate are rarer than you probably think.

that escalated quickly, do they play the option game with Brown and bring up a fresh arm from Iowa for the weekend?

I won’t argue that with you - solid points. What I’m simply asking is this: would you trust him in a tight game? I’m quite certain the answer is hell no. So - to my point…..he is only good for garbage innings against terrible lineups, and even then he’s a liability.

Oh, and the Paul Skenes comparison to Ben Brown is……let’s just say, ludicrous. Cade Horton is a rookie and learned those “ropes” pretty quick, oh and this guy from Milwaukee (also a rookie) also learned those proverbial ropes quite well too. I could go on. Brown has had enough chances to show that he’s not an MLB pitcher. So we can agree to disagree
