They’ll just move on to the next guy to horsefeathers talk.

Go back to the May game threads and read what some thought of Horton. 😂

I think most of us were just constantly baffled that he was so easily getting people to 2 strikes early in the season, but just couldn't strike any one out.

Brown is just an incredibly frustrating pitcher. He should be so much better than his results.

He will eventually put together a blistering stretch, showcasing some of the most dominant pitching ever seen, fueling hope that he has finally unlocked his true potential, only to regress back to what he is and then never reach that level again. I estimate this will occur some time in mid-to-late 2026.

It’s kind of hilarious to see MLB hitters whiffing on maybe the only MLB pitch I would be capable of hitting.

or grounding into a DP

I’ve often wondered why pitchers don’t mix an eephus in their repertoire purely because of how insanely off putting it must be to try to hit after seeing pitches 90-100 mph all the time

This is precisely why a guy like Pressly having a week with good numbers does nothing for me.  Variance plays a big role in small sample sizes,  so in those cases you have to rely on the eye test.  Anyone can throw a lucky few innings.

Every pen should have a guy who throws 40 mph. Make this a thing!

Actually a little surprise theres aren't pitchers, especially relievers that dont sneak a few of those in here and there when they have 2 strikes on a guy, there's no way a hitter would be ready to hit that pitch.lol

Good win. Hopefully a sign of things to come from the lineup. Tomorrow will be nice seeing Kyle Hendricks again.
