Caissie Not At the Bat

No, remember everything is fine, according to Counsell, and there is no room for Owen Caissie in this powerful lineup

I can’t even begin to stress how much the people who hate on Dansby, Happ, etc will hate even a successful Owen Caissie offensive profile, let alone the one that likely struggles for half a season.

What's a Mlodzinski?

A bad pitcher that will probably pitch 6 innings and give up 1 run to the Cubs today

🤣

Caissie Not At the Bat

Cubs coaching staff has him studying the Brewers all weekend so he can be ready to lead a 5 game sweep against them

LOUDER

Owen Caissie is going to be a very difficult player to root for

Why wouldn't they just trade him then a few weeks ago?  And get someone here that can make an actual difference instead of the "2032 Cubs"

Repeating stupid things doesn't make them more true or more powerful

I don’t think squally is suggesting Cassie won’t be a good player. I think he is saying the fan base who loves to bitch about good players whose profile might be high K’s will complain about Cassie once he is a Cub. Look what they do to Swanson and Happ, who are both good players.

Who didn't the Cubs get that would currently improve the offense?

Not sure why you quoted me, but honestly I don’t see anyone moved that would have helped the Cubs offense.

Oh, makes sense.  Well if Swanson and Happ were belting 40 bombs a year as what Caissie could probably do in the future if he pans out, I don't think people would complain about those 2 as much

Well considering that it's the actual GM of this team that made that comment, publicly, maybe he shouldn't have a job 🤷‍♂️ glad you agree it was stupid of him to say it
